According to Education Minister Dharmedra Pradhan – The "root cause" of NEET paper leaks is the OMR-based exam. So, from next year, NEET exam will switch to CBT (Computer Based Test), currently used for JEE Main. Disadvantages of the OMR based exam- Question paper is printed in bulk, transported, sorted, distributed to 1000s of centres – thus creating multiple leak points. Advantage of CBT system- - No physical question paper exists - Questions are delivered encrypted & just-in-time - The paper is randomized from a large pool of Questions - Software algorithms shuffle Q&As to assemble a unique paper for each candidate - There is no single paper which can be ‘leaked.’ NOTE: Although CBT is a much better system, it is not fool proof. The institute says he was counselled and assured that his academic career would not be affected. His family has alleged caste discrimination, invoked the SC/ST Act and are demanding compensation under the act along with crime branch investigation; the allegations are under investigation. How can he catch & disturb a student when he was sincerely busy in Copying during exam! This's so wrong. The Congress Govt has ordered brutal crackdown on peacefully protesting students, leading to illegal arrests, intimidation and injuries. Places where people are starved, beaten, and treated like slaves. Does the Edo State Government even understand what prison is? What if there’s an altercation inside? What if one of these students is injured… or killed? Who will take responsibility then? One of the boys is the only child of his Parent. Students at St. George’s school in Nairobi are on strike after one of their comrades was assaulted by a teacher for being outside viewing the eclipse. The students slept outside making noise, calling for justice. Police were overwhelmed by the students and could not contain the protest. Parents have arrived at the school in a bid to find a solution but what is clear is that the winds of change are blowing even in schools. What people expected from TVK Vijay is sensible governance but this govt is following DMK’s footsteps and trying to outdo DMK. Arunraaj TVK is succumbing to pressure from private medical colleges and private schools who are at disadvantage post NEET. Can he present facts to support his argument that rural students are at disadvantage? Probably he is referring to before NEET situation where in students from Namakkal district were getting undue share in MBBS admissions . Four districts Namakkal, Erode, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri together were getting almost 50% of MBBS admissions due to private schools, that’s not case anymore. But the fact stays : During 2006-16 only 389 govt school students got MBBS admissions, but now every year more than 750 govt school students are getting in to MBBS and govt itself sponsoring 100% of their college fees. Ekpoma is bleeding. Kidnappers have taken over Edo state. They now go from house to house, kidnapping families; students most especially. I have read the gory stories of the events of yesterday, & I'm very much terrified. Reports say that lives were lost in Ekpoma. Shot by the police & the army, scores were injured as well. They shot at civilians & arrested students in their hostels. Everyone should their voice to this cause, because media reports have been nothing but underwhelming. We mustn’t abandon the people of Ekpoma because the protests had EndSARS theme; Nigerian authorities are yet to learn any lesson. Many were outside; people got obviously tired of waiting to be k!lled, so they took to the streets. Now students are leaving. Freshmen want to write JAMB again, they will do anything (just to leave the school environment). School surrounding is not safe, Ekpoma itself is not! Kidnappers demand as high as N100 million from students as ransom, & kill them when they fail to raise it. Where do you want Edo students to get that large amount of money from? Children from Ekpoma protested against the insecurity in their state. And in keeping with tradition, the police opened fire as usual. Many were arrested for having the temerity to protest for their dear lives. Another kidnapping happened in a home in Ekpoma in broad daylight, around 6 O’Clock yesterday. Of course, the police were nowhere to be found! Attached is the live feed of that terrifying event. Nigeria is unbelievable! People protested against insecurity, & you pointed the end of the barrel at them BECAUSE YOU CAN, & THERE IS ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY WHATSOEVER! And where is Monday Okpebholo & Bola Tinubu? They latter promised to reduce your purchasing power & further slow down the economy, & he did! The former promised Edolites “insecurity” during his campaigns. IS HE FINALLY KEEPING THAT PROMISE?
