This Stargate scene from “Hero’s” is my favorite in the entire franchise. The cinematography and flow of this sequence inspires a lot of what I do today. If Stargate Universe was allowed to continue it would’ve been the Stargate Universes (pardon the pun) Battlestar Galactica. Hands down. The best Stargate of them all if they allowed it to continue to develop. Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis walked and ran so Stargate Universe could have a shot. I will never forgive the studio for cancelling this just as it got good. Shame. Wish Amazon MGM truly realised the GOLDEN IP they had at their disposal. Stargate fills a hole in Scifi that other shows can’t replicate and in an age of large swathes of people wearing their views on their shoulders be it politics or general views. Stargate managed to be progressive, action packed, funny, emotional whilst catering to a wide net of people. Stargate quite literally worked because it catered to all and let us all eat happily whilst not becoming preachy at all. Why can’t people see this! #SaveStargate

I had already booked my trip to visit London when I found out I had perfectly timed the trip up with the summer solstice event at Stonehenge. Of course I had to experience this!!! The False Memory OST finally dropped a couple days ago and I’ve been waiting for this specific soundtrack to release ever since i first heard it back in 2024 when it was first used in a trailer. When this trailer first dropped, It was my first time ever hearing about False Memory and I was completely blown away by it, not only by its visuals but by the soundtrack, holy fucking shit man it felt like I was ascending to a higher plane of existence. Hands down the best animated trailer ever made, the visual direction paired with this incredible soundtrack is nothing short of generational. For the past 2 years, I was so obsessed with this trailer I couldn't stop rewatching it, I just knew this series was gonna be a fucking masterpiece when it officially released. I cannot wait to re-watch it again in the near future.

True story: when I lived in Baton Rouge, I would go for a three mile run every single night around the neighborhood. There were a lot of little lakes and it was Louisiana so I was always aware of potential dangerous wildlife, so when I say "run" I mean fear of God RUN every night. One night, I was almost home and I heard something following me from the woods for a bit. I got close to the house, turned around, and saw this..... thing in the middle of the road. It moved like nothing I had ever seen. When I turned around, it came to a stop and just stared at me from about 40-50 yards away. It was tall. Not big, per say, but TALL. Kind of like a dog that had stilts on, but also an extra joint the way it moved. After a few seconds of staring, it started running at me, so I booked it to the house and locked the door. Never found out what it was. It has faked me out to this day. I've had bears in my back yard, +10' gators, etc, but THIS was freaky. Scrolling through tiktok this morning, I saw it again. Don't know how, but this is what I saw that night. So either something escaped from the zoo, or the Rougarou is real. I also found a map of the Mississippi River from the 1600s that had a creature like this near the mouth of the river.

I am hoping the new Stargate series works to keeps Joel Goldsmith's legacy alive. He spent 14 years creating the music for Stargate and I wish he was still with us to make more. RIP Joel. I know when I watch Stargate with my youngest son he'll sometimes turn to me and say "the music is really good" or "the music really fits this scene". Respect for Joel for his awesome work.
