I'm listening to these 2 twinks from vox complain about stocking fish and fishing in general because "Invasive species" and how its ruining the waterways. They then go on to complain how outdoorsman are the only ones paying for conservation so they need to tax people who go outside more so they can fund things leftist want. This is a perfect example of the circular firing squad on the left. Their solution to not getting funding is to tax the people who already pay for everything even more and make it prohibitively expensive.

Annapolis Democrats have long pushed for a Medicaid-for-All system. Now, as the federal government tightens its belt, Maryland taxpayers are left to foot the enormous bill. You might have heard that undocumented immigrants don't receive Medicaid. In Maryland, that's no longer true. As of July 1, 2023, the Healthy Babies Equity Act expanded to explicitly include noncitizens, regardless of their immigration status. That's right. Noncitizens, including undocumented individuals and those on visas that previously barred them from Medicaid, can get healthcare through the Healthy Babies program. Their immigration status doesn't matter. This also includes Emergency Medicaid for life-threatening conditions—covering everything from labor and delivery to hospital stays and prescriptions at no cost. No one wants to see anyone, regardless of immigration status, denied emergency care. But that's a much different scenario than using taxpayer-funded healthcare as a magnet. This is a video clip from the Department of Legislative Services back in July, going over the OBBB. The OBBB under final passage kept the current funding formula and did away with the 10% penalty. Jayapal: It is an increase in ICE funding. The reason people are saying it isn’t is because the CR from last year had an anomaly—a one-time funding amount of $485 million. If you add that into the base-year funding and look at this year, there is a $115 million decrease, but that was one-time anomaly funding. The core issue here is that there really are no guardrails on ICE and CBP. I can’t vote for it. I can’t be complicit in continuing to allow them to violate the constitutional rights of people across this country.

That is why my support for these critical areas continues to remain a priority. Today, Friday 9th May, I visited a healthcare facility established and managed by the Church of Nigeria, the Anglican Diocese of Kubwa. After inspecting the facility, I thanked the proprietor and his team for the good work they are doing in helping to ease the burden of our struggling healthcare system, especially for maintaining such a neat and conducive environment for patients. In support of their efforts, I made a token donation of 10 million naira. I encouraged them to remain committed to their service to humanity and also assured them of my continued support for the hospital, healthcare workers, and the healthcare system in general. For the people who say that teachers shouldn’t have to pay for their own supplies because they get funding need to understand how little they actually get for actual classroom supplies. Yes the schools get allot of money but it’s mainly for tech and facilities. People don’t understand how much more these teachers actually need that they don’t actually get funding for. Would you pay more in school taxes if it means the teachers aren’t paying out of pocket?
