Wild to me that he's convinced we're out of data. Maybe he means public, scrapable data? Example: there's a huge difference between the text on a Wikipedia page and a screenshot of a Wikipedia page. So much contextual data is locked away in perception. It would be a huge benefit to pre-training. I suppose if we come up with a way for pre-training to be unnecessary, that's yet another breakthrough.
