Today, Simon Dixon states that he is currently running Bitcoin Knots and BIP110. He stresses that his stance is nuanced and detailed in his blog which I have linked to. I'm not surprised to see that one of the loudest voices against the Financial Industrial Complex is taking a stand against attempts to turn #Bitcoin into a captured protocol. Bitcoin is money. I am running #BIP110.

In theory, Bitcoin is designed as a hedge against geopolitical unrest. But it's never actually traded like one. i told her the paradox of bitcoin is if we went to world war three, like REAL word war three bitcoin is probably candling green right now. does that make sense? she wasn’t too excited to hear that The better answer is: don't talk to hot girls about Bitcoin.

Bitcoin does not run on one company’s servers, Bitcoin runs on a distributed network of nodes spread across the world, which is exactly why it is hard to censor, shut down, or control, plus the mining system on top of it to protect it with energy. When someone frames Bitcoin like a centralized system, they are not critiquing Bitcoin as it is. They are critiquing a version of Bitcoin that exists only in their own confusion.
