Maybe it's just me but I think the WWI tanks were badass. This is footage from 1918 showing US and French tank units going to and from battle. First person shown is Cpl. Arthur Allen of the 2nd Platoon, 311th Tank Corps, 28th Div. The ladies at end are Miss Margaret Mayo, Miss Elizabeth Brice and Miss Lois Meredith of the Y.M.C.A. Theatrical Troupe, driving tanks of the 28th Division.🫡

Footage of the first official test of the Mark VIII Tank, held in Bridgeport, Conn., October 31, 1918—the largest tank in the world at the time. A British-American heavy tank it was designed in 1917 as a joint WWI project. In theory it could carry 20 extra infantry inside. Well, the war ended and only 125 were built. Side note: I'm playing around with adding cut away diagrams and more information for some future posts, let me know what you think.🫡

Azerbaijan is once again making accusations against Armenia, claiming that the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia contains territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Let’s now examine the Constitution of Azerbaijan. The Constitution of Azerbaijan refers to the 1991 Act of State Independence. This act mentions the Declaration of Independence of Azerbaijan from May 28, 1918, and the Act of Independence states that modern Azerbaijan is the successor to Azerbaijan from 1918-1920. The 1918-1920 Declaration of Azerbaijan indicates that the territory of Azerbaijan includes Southern and Eastern Transcaucasia, and in the map presented to the Entente in 1919, Azerbaijan laid claim to the territories of Syunik and Vayots Dzor in full, and partially to the territories of Tavush, Gegharkunik, Ararat, Lori, and Shirak. Unlike the Constitution of Armenia, the Constitution of Azerbaijan contains territorial claims against Armenia. How are we responding to this issue? Are we saying that Azerbaijan should change its Constitution? No, we are saying that there is already an agreed-upon article in the peace treaty, which, if signed, resolves this issue by noting that neither party can refer to its internal legislation to evade fulfilling its obligations under the treaty.

Signed on November 11, 1918, in a railway carriage in Compiègne, France, the armistice officially took effect at the symbolic hour of the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. This agreement was negotiated after Germany's deteriorating military and economic situation forced it to seek peace. The armistice paved the way for the Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919, which formally ended the war. This historic footage captures the celebrations in Paris in 1918.
