Falling Up is my story, our story because no matter what the world throws at us, we will always find our way up. Nothing could’ve prepared me for that studio session with Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers and I definitely was not prepared to hear our song performed on Louis Vuitton’s runway. 🦈

But we must also prepare for our constituents who will be hurt when these maps pass. We can’t win this fight from the House floor, and our loss will directly affect communities of color across the state. I won’t be joining my colleagues today who will meet quorum on the House floor.
