I’m cautiously optimistic the NHS Staff Council will accept our fair & reasonable pay offer for nurses, ambulance crews & other NHS workers. The RCN’s strike starting tonight is regrettable. Speaking to @ITN👇

@theRCN @itn We're cautiously optimistic you'll be binned at the next election x

@theRCN @itn Many staff accepted out of desperation. They made a pragmatic choice. It does not mean the offer is fair and reasonable, it means you've let things get so bad many simply didn't have a choice.

@theRCN @itn It’s neither fair nor reasonable. You know it. The largest nursing union / the largest Drs Union / the Radiographers / Paramedics and Unite have spoken. You should spend more time listening and less time twisting the truth. We see you for what you are.

@theRCN @itn You have had plenty of time to sit down, talk to nurses and prevent these strikes. Instead you used tax payers' money to take them to court. It's regrettable we have a health secretary wanting to bully nurses rather than reward their hard work. Solidarity with nurses ✊️

@theRCN @itn You know the deal is not enough to resolve the recruitment and retention issues. Still no workforce plan - its always coming later Get a grip , do your job, and try not to bully people

@theRCN @itn Is disrespecting nurses, doctors and all NHS staff also regrettable?

@theRCN @itn It’s not the @RCN strike action that is regrettable, it’s the manner in which @SteveBarclay @RishiSunak @Jeremy_Hunt have handled the pay negotiations. Their handling has been nothing short of abysmal.

@theRCN @itn This government have let down workers in so many sectors. We're standing with our NHS nurses ✊
