With a fleet closing in on 7 million vehicles worldwide, Tesla is playing a different game. Instead of relying on bulky, expensive hardware, Tesla uses a much simpler, more cost-effective approach, just 8 or 9 cameras and a powerful AI neural net. This AI, constantly learning from millions of real-world miles, means Tesla’s software gets smarter every day and can be scaled across the globe without needing new hardware for every car. So, while Waymo might seem like it’s leading the charge today, in my eyes, Tesla is quietly preparing to take over the entire field. They’ve created the foundation for something far bigger and is why I believe the true leader in Robotaxis will be Tesla, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it unfold on 10/10!

If I had listened to all the people who said Tesla was destined to fail, I wouldn’t be here today, flying a drone over my Cybertruck in San Francisco on a weekday and sharing my deepest thoughts with everyone on 𝕏. Instead, I’d probably still be stuck in a 9-5, working to fulfill someone else’s dreams and missing out on many of the true joys of life. Following my passion and believing in my vision allowed me to break free from that never ending cycle. Let my journey be a reminder that when you follow your heart & ignore the naysayers, you open up a world of possibilities that you’ve never thought was possible.

Driving through the mountains of Utah today, watching Tesla FSD handle the drive while I simply took in the scenery, I couldn’t stop thinking about where this is all heading. I really believe there will come a day when steering wheels, pedals, and even manually driving a car will feel as outdated as riding a horse to work or using a flip phone today. People will look back and wonder why we spent so much time stuck behind the wheel when technology could do it more safely and let us use that time for the things that actually matter to us. That’s why I think Tesla FSD is one of the most consequential technologies being developed today. It gives people their time back, reduces stress on long drives, and it enables a future with far fewer crashes & deaths. If autonomous driving reaches its full potential, which I believe it will, it will fundamentally change how we live, travel, and connect with one another. Sitting here while my Cybertruck drives through scenery like this, it feels like I’m watching the beginning of a massive shift in transportation and I bet future generations will wonder how we ever accepted driving ourselves anywhere.
