honest confession: yes

I like the intent, but can’t help but think that the very last thing Claude Code needs is ad copy thrown into the context window. If it’s going to be ad supported, ideally I think you’d want to handle that completely separately from main context, even if displayed inline.

But that's what makes the ad highly relevant!

@TheRomanFly Do you have any insights into the performance tradeoff? Like how does the ad affect the model outputs and such?

@NamanyayG I couldn’t say concretely, but just an educated guess based on how LLMs work. What we can say for sure is that you do not want to intentionally place unrelated content into the context window, and this seems like it would do just that.

this seems backward man. we moved away from free stuff that barely works to paid stuff that makes life 10x better. ads never was or will be good user exp.

Very cool - definitely making vibe coding/AI-assisted coding a lot more accessible (especially in addition to tools like @ctodotnew). But it's still VC funded (though indirectly by @supermemory). Will be interesting to see if this model proves sustainable.

It’s unfortunate you’re idea won’t survive for long. There were startup’s in India back in 2014 that tried offering mobile data in exchange for ads, failed miserably. Today tokens are the new data and we still have a long way for it to really become cheap

we'll find out!

But great concept though, I really hope it does work too. 😅
