I think Venda is an easy language, but we don't meet enough of them to learn their language. I used to watch Muvhango and I realised what he says but I can't give examples right now off the top.

The other thing about us Venda people, we are accommodative, we'd speak your language to accommodate you, which had made it so hard for people to learn our language because they're not fully exposed to it.

@Betfrends_ Our one main exposure to venda was muvhango but sabc lost the sauce.

@ThakhiElsie True, SABC sucks.

He’s making sense ngl 😂

A lot of sense shem 🤣🤣🤣

So Makhadzi the artist namee ngu Makazi aka Aunty. 😅🤣😂

Lol yes

😭😭🙈

The Venda English accent is goated 🤣 bro cooked

Boy he's cruising nicely 😂

@tiredfeminist_ Abantu bathi they thought ‘makhadzi’ was her name.😭

@tiredfeminist_ My colleagues thought the same until I had to break it down for them🤣

Ndi Tshivenda tsha thungo lufhio tshino ri u "shona" that means passing away?

Ho tangana na miswaswo Shaka langa 😭

@nameIsTondani Seniyasihleba njalo?😭

@nameIsTondani No chomie asihlebi😭😭

Well I'm Xhosa and I find it a bit easy to speak tshiVenda, very easy🤔

Venda it's easy, you just have to get exposed to it more

You're correct...

@kobetji Hes not wrong. I can hear isivenda when they not speaking fast

Mbudzi in Venda, iMbuzi in Zulu. Mulilo in Venda, uMlilo in Zulu...Venda is more similar to Zulu as well

You see, these languages are linked we just like being stubborn 😅

Im Xhosa, I thought isiNdebele was closer than venda

We learn everyday😅. How Xhosa people use the word "Ndi" is the same way Venda people use it. There's so many words that are similar to Venda

@Yonela0727 How did we cross the border ?

@Yonela0727 Auwa, let's come back home chomie😭

Im learning something, I find it difficult though to speak Venda compared to other languages...I guess its time i give it a try ey...I enjoyed this . #proudly_Xhosa

Meet people who will be willing to expose you to Tshivenda. Because majority of us are good in your languages which prevents people learning our language

Sounds like its closer to IsiXhosa more than Isizulu

That's what he meant

Oh ... I thought he was comparing isiVenda to isiZulu too

I am Xhosa. Went to Venda(Thohoyandou) to do my grade11 and 12 with no prior learning of the language. Got a 76 in Tshivenda in Matric so yeah. He is right🤞

Which High school did you go to?

A month in a Private School that was called Centuary near the Vuwani Millitary base but then i left and joined Makakavhale in Lwamondo ( Murahu-ha Thavha)🙂.

I know Makakavhale. I have few friends who went there

Shona??

Let him cook🤣

Most of my Venda friends are married to Xhosa women 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤞🏿🤞🏿🤣🤣🤣

I get him

He's making sense shem 🤣

Haay haay 🤣🤣 point of correction " ushonile" is Zulu

Let the boy cook 🤣🤣

He’s not lying you realise this when you spend time with Venda people

Zulu 🤝 Tsonga. Eg Hamba, Famba

KKKKK Oshona Namukombo

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Man, I been saying this! We also say ndi when referring to self ..

The Ndi in Venda its the same in Xhosa and meaning. Ndi a nifuna ( i love you) Ndi ya kufuna ( I want you) When you look at it closely this could mean more of the same thing if you are referring to your partner

Why is Sesotho catching strays?🤷🏽♀️😂. I understood everything

Lol the boy he's cruising 😂😂

😂

Can i give a lil history lesson

Please do

Wen ppl were moving from the north, they met other tribes along di way, some remained some joined di migration. So this mixing of ppl had an influence on the evolution of modern languages. Hence so much similarities of languages la eMzansi.

E.g ispitori has like 5 languages in it. Tswana, pedi, tsonga, Afrikaans, english words. Its not really an official language but a person really good at speaking ispitori can say words from all these 5 languages in 1 sentence.

@TomiRikhotso All our indigenous languages are deeply interconnected and share linguistic roots.

all these languages in SA are closely related...even in spediii they are more like that..hence I don't understand people wo say they cannot hear(not speak) other SA languages

Wait till you realise how closely related Venda also is to Shona. Honestly, ra tsalana.

People need to realise that Xhosa and Venda form part of the Zunda branch of Southern Bantu languages……

@wandacovenx We learn everyday

NoooO 😲😲😲 @PearlLudidi

@PearlLudidi Yes 🤣🤣🤣

Ni khou shona😭😭😭😭😭

U khou penga hoyu🤣

Nga maanda shame 😂😂😂

It's true.

Kungona ayiqondayo bethuna ba siyazalana .

We say ufile not ushonile

We say ofa in Tshivenda.

Love this 😂

We don't say ushonile, we say uswelekile but the rest, yeah you're right.

Even u shona in Tshivenda its wrong. I think he was just joking around

Wtf 🤦🤣🤣🤣🙌
