Unfortunately, even if they have a proper apology and correction, the damage is done, the original post has made its point to many, most of whom will never see the correction. This is an ongoing issue with @CBCNews and needs to be stopped.

You really can't make this up. CBC's source of misinformation about the Freedom Convoy, the guy that spun Ottawa into a frenzy, is presented as an expert by CBC in "misinformation" Justin Ling spun wild tales that were believed by media and law enforcement and none had the courage in the end to hold him responsible CBC using him as an expert on misinformation is correct... he created some of the greatest misinformation and disinformation in Canada in the last decade! He made wild claims of guns, conspiracies, violence, hate... all proven false at the inquiry! He was instrumental in the hysteria created that ultimately resulted in the use of the Emergencies Act Remember that next time CBC calls on another "expert"
