I’m getting multiple angry messages from people who work at NGOs begging and/or demanding I stop posting these daily videos on reality of the streets. Some even suggest the videos aren’t real. AI?? Which just proves that they’re not actually out there as much as people think.

YouTube is full of AI videos of Somalis getting sentenced for fraud. The first one in the compilation here has 4.4 million views. The comments all think they’re real. They say things like “Tim Waltz should be next to her” and “the nerve of these people.” A couple years ago, I wrote an article about how the low human capital of the right would make it increasingly disconnected from reality as AI advances. This has come true. The second part of my prediction was that it would ultimately make the establishment stronger since most people would be forced to trust credible sources of news. The jury is still out on that one. The possibility is that there are enough stupid people out there that the people who trust in MSM and the people who are watching Somali deepfakes approximately balance out. Ideology will become less of a fault line going forward, as the right’s human capital problem makes it behave in ways that are inconsistent with any form of rationality or even any ideological goals. See recent events in Minnesota.

Timpf: I don't think it was just the "F" word that people were upset about. Some people don't think it sounds so much like strength as escalation. Trump did win the election from support from a lot of people who were noninterventionists. They were sick of these forever wars. They didn't want involvement in Iran so if they hear about bridges and power plants, whether there is the "F" word there or not, they will they it sounds like escalation which doesn't necessarily make them soft or liberals.

And that’s not to say there aren’t some benefits to AI, but there needs to be reasonable regulation. They look at D.C., and with the exception of Bernie Sanders and a few others, mostly they see people either not doing anything or just cheering on the industry and saying, “Let’s get out of their way and let them have their will with the American people.”

If I could offer some advice to the political humorists out there, I would strongly suggest not celebrating or lying about an assassination. I would suggest getting back to good old-fashioned comedy, something that makes people laugh no matter what their political ideology is. It’s ironic that these people care so much about the perception of inclusivity, DEI, and CRT, but they’ve turned their comedy into vehicles to attack half the country.
