I'm old enough to remember when polio put my friends into iron lungs. We dutifully lined up at school to get vaccinated. We eradicated the disease. We protected the common good and saved lives. What RFK Jr. is doing to public health in America is a disgrace.

Do y’all like the old way or common core method doing math? I grew up with the old way but when my youngest went to school, we both struggled with the process. It’s applied in reading as well. Making something simple into something complicated is ridiculous to me.

We need to be absolutely clear: there’s science and then there’s whatever brainworm ideology RFK Jr. is trying to inflict on us. It’s reckless and it’s disgusting. I stand with CDC leaders refusing to bend the knee to Trump and RFK Jr. I’m a public health doctor who spent my career leading health departments. He must resign. And if he doesn’t, when I get to the Senate, I’m hauling his ass up to Capitol Hill to explain why he’s putting his political ambition over our health.
