I'm seeing it everywhere... 'Tom quit!" Absolute hogwash. It couldn't be more clear, he got poked in BOTH eyes. That was straight out of the Three Stooges. I think most people agree he lost that first round, but to suggest he quit or looked for a way out is absurd.

I think this is probably the first time I've seen an adult show so much concern over a child being a Gundam pilot. At first, I found it funny that he was crying because he couldn't believe he lost to a child, but the more I heard him talk, the more I felt what he meant and understood what he was going through. Üso is supposed to be playing with toys, but he's out here in a war, piloting a killing machine and holding a gun in his hand. He's still new to this, but the more he gets involved in war, the crazier it will get for him. I guess I'm back to the classic Universal Century stuff. I have to prepare myself...

I thought he brought forward into the taxpayer's psyche a new idea of auditing government in perpetuity, which I find extremely interesting because no one's ever done it quite that way. What he did experience is what most people do. Washington is a very nasty place, and the closer you get to the sun, the more your feathers get burned. That's for everybody. He found out the hard way.
