I'm so happy that PhoneBuff mentioned this extremely important fact about battery tests And it's not just Apples internal testing. It's 9/10 battery tests on YouTube. They never touch the screen once which DOES in fact has a huge impact on battery life Every single time you touch your... phones screen, it has to ramp up the processor to not just calculate the touch input, it hast to calculate predictably since you may not just be touching, but swiping. And it should continue scrolling once you lift your finger because that makes it feel more natural. And this needs power. Drains power. So a more important touchscreen and software can make a huge difference in battery life. And most battery tests just ignore that entirely. That's why some tests show vastly different resultsshow more

THIS is something people should finally understand when they look at other battery tests that just open an app and wait 3 hours. A touchscreen needs power. Every time you touch your phone, it has to calculate the touch, movement etc. which those other tests COMPLETELY ignore.

my two favorite people saying the same thing “just give it a try” 🥹 🦌: the most important thing is to just give it a try. i think the idea of taking that first step is one of the most important things in life 🦮: moments when we have to make big decisions can be scary, and i think that's completely normal. but the fact that something feels scary also means it’s a very important opportunity. that’s why i think it’s important to really think about what you want and then just give it a try. because if you don’t try, you’ll definitely regret it later on

TYL SiuFatBB: "I hope every one of you can hold on to that passion in your life. Don't give up. Don't be afraid just because of what other people say. Stay true to your own heart and to what you love. I can stand on this stage today, right? Some people behind the screen said I was bad, right? But the fact that I'm able to stand here today, what does that represent? It represents a heart that refuses to accept defeat. And the same goes for all of you."

Europe is quietly becoming what the United States once promised the world. More and more people are looking at their best years ahead and choosing a place where everyday life is designed to work. Where the future feels stable enough to plan for. Where safety is not a luxury product. Where you can build a good life without gambling your health, your family, or your dignity on one bad month. In much of Europe, the “dream” is not about becoming a billionaire. It is about becoming unafraid. It is the freedom of walking home at night without scanning every shadow. The comfort of knowing that if you get sick, you do not need to calculate whether you can afford to be treated. The relief of having a society that still believes children should carry backpacks, not trauma, and definitely not weapons. The calm of streets built for human beings, not just cars. The ability to take a holiday without feeling like you are committing career suicide. The basic decency of labor protections that assume you are a person first and a resource second. And then there is the part people underestimate until they live it: the texture of life. The cities are older and more beautiful than you expect. The distances are smaller. Weekends are real. Food is real. Public spaces are not just decorative, they are functional. Parks are full. Cafes are full. Trains take you somewhere, often across borders, without turning travel into a stress test. You can live in one country, work with another, and visit a third like it is normal because, in many places, it is. The European dream is also a quiet confidence in the social contract. That if you contribute, the system does not abandon you. That you can raise a family without feeling like you are one accident away from ruin. That “getting ahead” does not require burning out. That a good society is one where normal people can live normal lives and still feel proud of them. This is why more and more Americans are not just visiting Europe, but staying. Some come for studies and never leave. Some arrive for a job and realise the lifestyle is the real promotion. Some originally planned a one year experiment and then cannot imagine going back to a place where stress is treated as a personality trait and insecurity is marketed as freedom. Europe is not perfect. It has bureaucracy. It has politics. It has problems that deserve criticism. But in many European countries, life is still built around a simple idea: society should reduce fear, not monetise it. That is the new dream. And people can feel it the moment they arrive. If you could choose one thing to trade for a better life, what would it be: more income, or more security? And what do you think your country would have to change for people to stop leaving, and start staying? Stay connected, Follow Gandalv Gandalv

This is called the sonder effect. It’s the realization that every stranger you see has an inner life as rich, layered, and emotionally real as your own. The person walking past you is not just “a woman in a red coat” or “some guy in traffic.” He has a past, private fears, people he misses, routines he hates, memories that still sting, and plans he has not told anyone yet. Most of the time, our brains simplify other people into background. Not because we are cruel, but because we have to move through the world from inside our own point of view. Sonder is what happens when that illusion breaks for a second. You stop seeing people as scenery and start seeing them as entire worlds. That is what makes it powerful. It does not just make the world feel bigger. It makes you more humble, more patient, and a little more aware of how much you do not know about the people around you. For one second, the background characters disappear. And everyone becomes real.

Hello Tata Motors I purchased a Tata Nexon EV (30 kWh battery pack) on 10 February 2024 for around ₹18 Lakhs. Tata claimed a range of 325 KM, but throughout my ownership I NEVER received more than 175 KM on a full charge. Now the condition has become even worse. My battery drains so fast that I can barely drive 90 KM per charge. After reporting this issue, even the service center admitted there is a battery problem. At the time of purchase, Tata Motors clearly promised an 8-year / 160,000 KM battery warranty and assured us that defective batteries would be replaced with NEW ones. But now, when the issue has actually occurred, they are trying to replace my battery with a REFURBISHED (second-hand) battery instead of a new one. I raised this issue in February 2026. It has been months, and despite continuous follow-ups, there is still no battery replacement and no proper response from Tata Motors. What is more shocking is that Tata keeps blaming driving habits for the poor range. But according to THEIR OWN meter, my average consumption over the last 6434 KM is 91 Wh/KM, which technically should deliver around 329 KM range. Yet in reality, I never received anything close to that. To make things worse, the car makes frightening noises while charging. Honestly, it feels unsafe and scary, as if something could go seriously wrong at any moment. And when I asked Tata about exchanging this problematic vehicle, they offered only ₹5 Lakhs for a well-maintained 1.5-year-old car purchased for ₹18 Lakhs. Is this a joke? My demands are simple: 1. Provide a BRAND NEW battery replacement instead of a refurbished battery. 2. Offer a fair replacement/exchange value for the vehicle. This has been the worst ownership experience of my life. Extremely disappointed with Tata Motors and their after-sales service. TATA.ev Nitin Gadkari Department of Transport

Sometimes we get so caught up in our daily routines that we forget about the most important person in our lives— ourselves. Taking care of yourself is not a luxury or a sign of selfishness; it's a necessity. Your health, your appearance, and your well-being deserve attention and care. Make time to rest, stay active, invest in your health, and do things that make you feel confident and happy. When you take care of yourself, you have more energy, more motivation, and a better quality of life. Don't keep putting yourself last-because you deserve the same care and attention that you so often give to others.

While PixelUI is literally the smoothest and the best animated UI I've personally ever used, it has the weirdest bug ever? 😭 And yes, that's right. Only ONE bug that I've faced so far. But it's a huge one. Navigation gestures have been set as default on Pixels for years now, and I personally thought Google had completely perfected them (if they are so confident in them). But apparently not. It's not even a consistent bug. Sometimes it's there, and sometimes it just disappears entirely on its own. When you open an app and then immediately close it, the animation can break ENTIRELY. And this started happening with Android 17 on my 10a. Android 16 was perfect. It just looks so bad, and I'm not even sure how or why it happens. It's very random. Personally, I'm fine dealing with linear and non-parallel animations which PixelUI still uses (meaning that animations can't be interrupted while in progress), but this is just unacceptable imo... I often open apps accidentally, so I immediately close them and almost every single time I face this thing. Please Google, your UI already is almost entirely bug-free (wink wink iOS). How could you let this slide 💔💔

A HARDWARE MODDER BOLTED A BATTERY PACK ONTO A $599 MAC MINI M4 AND TURNED A DESK SERVER INTO A BACKPACK AI RIG THAT RUNS FOR EIGHT HOURS WITHOUT A WALL OUTLET he posts a video of the mac mini with a slim battery module clamped to the side, USB-C plugged into the back. no power brick, no outlet, just the 10 to 30W draw of the M4 chip pulling from a 20,000mAh bank. a full work day on one charge. this is not a portable laptop trick. it is a desk-class AI server that fits in a sling bag the same $599 mac mini i recommended in last week's article as the silent default, now untethered. pair it with a mobile hotspot or a Starlink mini and you have a fully off-grid LLM stack that answers questions in a forest, on a plane, in a power outage. the model lives in the box, the battery powers the box, that is the whole stack this is not a gadget. it is the first time the words "AI server" and "fits in your bag" belong in the same sentence

I have an important announcement: . . . KIDDING! I mean, it is important still, but not that dramatic! I'm taking an extended vacation (also known as sabbatical) and I'll be back in two months! This mean I'll be inactive during that time, and you can tag/reach out to my friends and colleagues drew Marzio and Frank™ KEIENBURG 🏳️‍🌈 for your needs! Ive been 6 years with Brawl, so you and the community has been a big part of my life! but it's a good time to take a break, think of something else and maybe come back with new cool ideas for the community! I feel I'm already missing you, but this doesn't need to be dramatic or that long, because I'll be back in May 😅 ANYWAY, see you later!

While I have premium I definitely want to do a long post breaking down the main scene from this show that I obsess with. There's so much that I feel could be learned from it. Not just for expansion animators either. There's honestly a LOT that can be learned from how this show directed its expansion scenes that can be applied to even safe for work animations. Obviously yes, the expansion alone is really good. What makes it so good though is just the fact that there's things you pick up on that you likely don't even realize until you re-watch. I'm using this scene as an example as it's not AS good I would say, but it still has a lot going for it. One thing I've always loved from it that I want to use in my own animations someday is that the expansion sort of comes in waves as opposed to one consistent growth. In a way, it makes it feel more natural while also selling how tight the top is getting. It could have been accompanied by showing the knot getting tighter or smaller with each growth. It's a small part of the animation but just that one thing already adds another layer to appreciate. It's not like most expansion scenes where there's very little outside of just "growing" on its own. There's a bunch of little things that subtly improve it without being obnoxious. The first expansion scene has WAY more that I want to talk about honestly. Far more than this one has. It will probably be a really long post now that I think about it...

I just saw this video on IG now. The creator obviously does not know what it is. Yet, he's touching it. The main purpose of making this post is to tell you NEVER TOUCH AN ANIMAL OR PLANT YOU DON'T KNOW, most especially at the sea. If it now has bright colour, avoid it until you're sure it's safe to touch. The organism is called velella and it is mildly venomous. The venom doesn't really have effect on humans but some people might be affected by it. When it is touched, using that same hand to touch the the face might cause the face to itch or burn. Officially, it is not found in Nigeria, but I won't rule out its sighting totally. They're usually found in America's, Europe, Asia and Australia. In Africa, they've been found in Tanzania, Mauritius, and South Africa too. Therefore , they might get drifted to coastal areas in Nigeria too. Thank you.

The new Product Page Header image in the App Store will not matter. First you need users to actually want to enter your App Store listing. And the reality is that a lot of users NEVER enter the listing. They search for something, see the app in the search results and download it directly from there. So the important update here is the new Search Results image. It's an app banner inside the App Store search results. And you should think about it as a persuasive ad. COPYWRITING will be what matters. Not the fancy "branding". Users are searching because they want an answer to something. Your creative needs to give them that answer immediately. And this becomes even more important with Apple Ads. You can pay to appear for the keyword, but your creative still needs to convince the user that your app is the answer they were searching for.

sorry Jake let me explain a bit more about my work in my advertising agency: because we work with big clients, we run a lot of tests, especially with AI why do I use a famous actor for my internal tests? because a well-known face is instantly recognisable and easy to share to clients, you immediately understand the expressions, the acting style, and whether the generation is efficient or not it helps us judge the quality of the tool of course, I know the ethical side is complicated these tests are strictly internal, purely experimental, and never used for commercial purposes. using someone’s likeness without consent is completely forbidden, and I fully respect that i’m just sharing this video as an example of a technical test I generated by mistake, not for any public or commercial use what do you think of it? the tech is powerful, but it needs to be handled responsibly

You've probably scrolled past a dozen posts about Jev this week without anyone telling you what it actually is. It's the first model from TypeSafe, a lab started by one of the researchers behind ChatGPT. It's a decision engine: you give it options, it picks one and tells you how sure it is. It cannot write a single word, and that is the interesting part. Every other AI you use writes. That is the whole interface. So when software needs a plain yes or no, we make a model write a paragraph and then dig the answer back out of it. Fine in a chat window where a human reads it. Bad inside software, where code has to act on it. The bet is that the valuable half was never the writing. It was the deciding. That problem showed up in WordPress years ago, and it is the reason WPVibe works the way it does. The AI does the work. Anything permanent stops and waits, because a delete that skips the trash is not something software should decide on its own.

It's been several months since I curbed my phone addiction and it is so profoundly noticeable that my happiness has dramatically increased. I completely dropped doom scrolling, the news, politics, brain rot, and limit social media to mine and my friends' posts only. All the general negativity on the internet is like living in a home where everyone argues and is upset, even if it doesn't involve you and you don't engage with it, just being exposed to it every day is mentally draining. It's subtle, it creeps up slowly, and you don't even realize how mentally taxing it truly is. Now imagine the feeling of living in a home where everyone is peaceful and laughs, the feeling is equally infectious. You can even test this out by watching Friends or The Big Bang Theory with and without the laugh track on YouTube; spoiler, it's painfully cringe without it. The effect surrounding vibes have on your emotions is so strong, and it's hard to notice most of the time. I now find myself having uncontrollable fits of laughter at least once a week, which used to be closer to once a year. It's important to note that the things triggering these fits of laughing were always there, the difference is that my perception has changed. It's figuratively like a laugh track is playing in the background and all of a sudden, everything is now funny. I'm not trying to preach and tell people how to live their lives, but it's something I felt compelled to share since it's helped me so much. The habit was hard to break because the algorithm is designed to adapt to every person and lock you in, but I did it by substituting the phone with other things I enjoy. Right now it's learning the guitar and swimming. I'm developing skills I've never had, and it only compounds the feeling of happiness.

Q: What has it been like for you working on a film like this that has just been, you know, adored by millions around the world? Paul: It just feels so surreal, you know. I know the whole team put so much effort into it and for their passion to be recognised on a global scale, it's ujust so amazing. And, you know, I'm so happy #안효섭 #AHNHYOSEOP #アンヒョソプ #安孝燮 #KPOPDEMONHUNTERS

The next manipulation tool may not live on your screen. It may stand in front of you look into your eyes and convince you that it understands. Would you rather face a humanoid robot strong enough to hurt you or one designed well enough to make you trust it? This robot copies blinking, eye contact, head movement and facial expressions to create the illusion of human presence. That may look impressive but it also opens a darker question. When a machine can look concerned appear friendly and imitate emotion people may start trusting signals that contain no real feeling no empathy and no moral responsibility. So which is more dangerous a robot with physical power or a robot that can manufacture trust? #HumanoidRobot #Robotics #AI

I want to share this news with you: We just reverse-engineered the PCB for our rechargeable fan, right here in India. Thanks to Vishal Tejwani. And guess what? It worked perfectly on the first try. Now we’re ordering 1,000 sets to run a pilot on our Pick and Place machine. If all tests go well, we’ll move to full in-house PCB production, not just for this model, but future ones too. Next goal: → Localize motor production → Find a battery cell solution made in India Soon, we’ll be building the entire product here from scratch. This is how self-reliance starts. One breakthrough at a time.
