So what solution do you propose? A wealth tax on physical assets in the UK? Or are you suggesting our elected representatives are all in on it and there is nothing we can do about it? Personally, I think the easiest solution is to just leave this country and be done with it.

Ok well I’d scrap IHT introduce a 0.75% property value tax (tripled for long term vacant properties) bring CGT inline with income tax thresholds increase entrepreneurs relief back to where it was implement a 2% wealth tax on assets above £25m, combine income tax with NI and increase the personal allowance to £20k raise the minimum wage to £15 and scrap employers NI scrap the triple lock get rid of child benefit and SDLT on property purchases except for second homes which I’d keep at the current level and see how that panned out.
