It's a built-in subagent defined in Claude Code's system itself. It answers questions about Claude Code CLI, the Agent SDK, and the Claude API. Anthropic just released a talk on building headless automation with Claude Code. Presented by Sid Bidasaria, Member of Technical Staff at Anthropic live at Code with Claude on May 22, 2025 in San Francisco. Here is what the talk covers. Headless mode lets you run Claude Code without a person actively typing prompts from inside an automated script. Instead of a live session, a script calls Claude with a pre-written instruction using the -p flag. This opens the door for Claude Code to become a piece of a much larger, automated process. In plain terms: Claude Code stops being a tool you use and starts being a service that runs on its own. What this unlocks: Scheduled tasks: Run Claude Code on a cron schedule without anyone at a keyboard. Fix linting errors across an entire codebase. Automatically. Overnight. CI/CD integration: Trigger Claude Code as a step in your build process. Open a PR. Claude reviews it, flags issues, and pushes fixes before a human ever looks at it. GitHub automation: A project manager comments "Claude fix this" on a GitHub issue. Claude reads the request, finds the code, writes the fix, and opens the PR. Multi-machine workflows: One orchestrator dispatches tasks to multiple Claude Code instances running in parallel across different repos simultaneously. When you combine headless mode, hooks, and GitHub Actions, development teams can automate tasks that usually eat up significant time freeing senior engineers to focus on architectural problems while Claude handles the repetitive ones. Just copy the prompt into your preferred LLM interface like ChatGPT, Claude, or whatever works for you, add your instructions, and you're set. In this example, we copied the entire prompt into Anthropic Claude and asked it to grab every sentence from Hacker News front page and visualize them using UMAP with matplotlib. This task is nontrivial as it combines multiple APIs from our Search Foundation, like Reader and Embedding where Claude may not have knowledge of. So if you asked Claude directly, it probably wouldn't give an optimal answer. But with the meta-prompt, Claude now has good knowledge about our APIs and can generate much better code! We can copy paste the code directly to Google Colab and with minimum modification, the code just works!

Claude Code is terrible at UI design and everyone knows it so this guy fixed it by building an MCP that gives Claude its own AI design tool instead of going back and forth between a design platform and your code editor, Claude now creates the designs itself and drops them straight into your codebase the MCP has full context of your existing design system and project so everything it generates actually matches what you already have. one command to set up and it installs the MCP and skill files so Claude instantly knows how to use it if you're tired of the same Inter font, purple gradient, card grid layout on every project, this is definitely worth trying

I'm SO impressed by Claude Skills. They are the best way to package custom instructions (and code) for the agent to access. (I prefer this to Claude Code's subagents because of the way it handles context) I used the skill-creator skill (comes default inside Claude) to create a skill for designing a presentation like Steve Jobs or Seth Godin, then used that skill to create a PPT about Claude Code. Below is a walkthrough of the results. The output when using the above mentioned skill vs when i don't is so clear. I'm bullish on what this implies for both Claude web and Claude Code. Extremely powerful. Anthropic cooked! 🔥

How I have Claude automate anything I do on my computer just by showing it: I use the free Clips app and hit record to start recording. Then I just do the action - like navigating to Rippling and approving any unapproved time off - and I’ll often just talk out loud as I do it explaining any add’l details like I would when showing a human. The Clips app captures everything on your screen and everything you say, and transforms it into a format Claude can “see and hear”. You'll then get a link that you can easily share with Claude (or humans too). I’ll paste it to Claude and say something like, "automate this for me every day at 8:00 AM." The link has special metadata that agents like Claude can discover. It exposes APIs to see the full transcript with timestamps and grab screenshots of what was on your screen at any of those timestamps. Once it's created the routine, you can go to the Routines tab in Claude Code desktop app. This also works with the CLI, Claude Cowork, Codex etc. You’ll see your new routine there, and you can just hit Run Now to have it start running it. Video attached shows this step by step. The Clips apps is free and open source - I’ll link to it and the source code in the thread.
