Except someone has to take them out of the box and connect the batteries. This launcher can be brought to the frontline with hundreds of drones in a container - or dozens riding on top of a UGV.

I don’t think somone looks at this and goes yes this make me feel more safe and makes me more resourceful if the box launcher is selling point at this point there no need for box your already transporting it in something that moves so why does the moving object become launcher at

This point or like the same product you had in mind what difference does it serve versus point your drones on your roof securely and then flying them away when ready

@drlorenzmeier The roof of a 20ft shipping container can fit ~75 drones if we assume a footprint of 16”x16” per drone with props folded. That’s cool. What’s cooler is having 75 drone elevators, stacked 6 deep. Now you have 450 drones able to be launched from that same shipping container.

Very interesting system. How many in a 20 foot container, 2-3 rows of 10 units? With FPV's and other C-UAS they could be a very effective, cheap, anti-air defense in addition to any missile load. As part of a cargo ship load, they'd be difficult to spot individually!

Stocking density is still too low, get everything in line and folded up.

I created something similar recently, launching 14 FPVs from inside an USV and also 5 FPVs from inside an oil barrel. Key challenges are keeping them charged and cooled long term.

Awesome, I had a similar idea awhile ago for a Hub with a reloading and maintenance bay for agricultural drones. Glad to see convergent evolution of novel ideas never disappoints!

These containers are overall so affordable compared with other means that you can risk to lose them.

It would still be a pity to lose a container full of drones. I don't think such a container would survive long in Ukraine. But there will definitely be scenario's where it can be useful. For example for base protection or when maneuver warfare can be reestablished.

I can imagine, although drone technology aside (AI, swarm), many projects have weak communication and power supply capabilities, especially considering the placement of containers in unconventional hiding places, for example, to be left behind enemy lines. For example, the European theater isn't just urbanized. It's also home to thousands of freshwater bodies: lakes, ponds, reservoirs, etc.

I cannot imagine needing a dronevator for a drone that has vertical lift. I do imagine and wish you success.
