I'd be that organized and ahead, too if I made 10 grand a month.

If you're making over 5k (a check?) how are you only paying the minimum on your credit cards? Pay those off. Then you'll have more money to save/spend.

This what's wrong with these new generations. How do you not do your budgeting like this. I've been doing this since my 20's. It doesn't take that much organization to do this and this is much easier and better than writing it out on paper which is what you used to do

i used to be more organized than this only it was on a spreadsheet i designed myself and it was all automated i didnt have to write it in what is this nonsense does she not know about excel

I used to write all that crap out too….didn’t advertise to the world, however.

I was thinking: daaamn she’s saving a lot, and then I saw 60 for gas, 50 for utility BUT 400 for "get my hair done", 120 for designer bags and 50 for tats. Girl is saving at the wrong ends.

My daughter & her fiancé are very organized, work in finance & have a spreadsheet with all their categories. They sit down weekly & have a budget meeting, monthly go over any needed changes,yearly come up with a proposed budget.They earn mid 6 figures together and are doing well.

It’s called budgeting!, if you’re not doing this, you’re living in debt.

If I made $10,000 plus per month, I’d have zero issues.

This is how I broke down my check when I was working. I like to write out my budget, so I can see the break down.

I do this twice a month, just on a regular piece of paper with a pen. Haven’t overdrawn in years
