Well yes it’s cheaper because you’re doing the labor 😭 it’s not a scam to pay a little extra, even if you can get twice the amount for less Companies are paying workers, materials, distributors, and profit margin. In extreme cases, where the profit margin is >30% it’s a scam

Yeah, you’re paying for the convenience of not having to do all of this work yourself.

Everybody should know that “from scratch” is cheaper.

youre paying for convenience

Very cool experiment. Congratulations. Of course to thoroughly evaluate the costs you have to include all the inputs. They would include the calories you burned while crushing. You got those calories from food that you bought. You would also have to include the soap and hot water used to clean the containers and the purchase of the containers. The bottom bottom line is probably about the same or more than the store bought. But this also makes me wonder what additives are in the store-bought. Is it pure like the homemade?

Your paying for the labor. Shipping. Bottle. etc. companies also need to profit something to continue. If u dont like just press your own fruits for juice. Do you.

Only problem is time.

No shit it’s cheaper to squeeze it yourself. What kind of moron is surprised?

r u actually retarded

Need this juicer. I hate mine it has like 8 pieces to it and no cheese cloth 💔

Yeah but you are missing all the E products, extra sugar and water from the market one. Anyway really nice old juice extractor

No, we’re paying for the manufacturing and distribution, that’s all really. That and taxes.

Yeah ...but the store bought juice doesn't have hair and dandruff in it!

Well it’s the labor and the other stuff in the juice that’s making it more expensive she’s slow

Now the question is how much does the juicer cost?

You pay extra so you dont have to do all that. You just open the bottle and drink the juice. Simple

You say the little bottles hold 8oz of juice. You fills 2.75 of them. Then you weigh them and say you have 24.2oz. Ummm do you see how the math ain’t mathing here?

Sure, but now add in the cost of the juicer, the blender, and the glass bottles, plus your labor in prepping and juicing it all.

Every one knows you don’t weigh liquid for volume

It’s not the juice you are buying. It’s the convenience. People are stupid.

Not really, I’ll pay extra dollar for convenience

No, you’re not scammed. You not paying for the machinery and labor to press the juice. You’re paying for the convenience of it being done for you. It’s ALWAYS less expensive to purchase whole foods because it requires labor to cook/process it.

So basically not worth the time and labor and the big heavy machine that needs more labor cleaning afterwards. I’ll pay the extra dollar thanks

It just happened to fill the jug perfectly?

She's bad at math. How does she think 3 8oz containers that aren't all full adds up to more than 24oz?

Measuring in milliliters is much easier.

You pay for just opening a bottle and discard of it after drinking, not for the juice! Just think of bottled water!

You’re paying for the convenience, obviously.

That purchased bottle is probably also cut with water

I’m not doing all that

It’s like saying food is more expensive at a restaurant

It’s not a scam. You’re paying someone else a premium to juice it for you. That’s called “value added.” If you don’t want to, you’re free to do the work yourself. What also has to factored in is the cost of the juicer and the bottles she bought. What’s the break even point?

The only person being scammed is the person spending $3.69 on only 12 fl oz. Trader Joes sells fresh pineapple juice for $5 at 56 fl oz

We pay for convenience. But well done sis.
