Imagine one security agency extorting another security agency in Nigeria. Now, the police reportedly extorted the ICPC Chairman. Does this mean that Nigerian police officers cannot recognize the Chairman of another law enforcement agency? This is a very serious question. In fact, it is deeply concerning.

Clear example of “when death wants to kill a dog, it first stops its ability to smell things” Of all the people in the country to extort, it’s the chairman of an agency whose sole responsibility is persecuting crimes like that.

If they can do this to ICPC chairman who is ordinary citizens? We go through a lot in the hands of police in this country. All police men now get Opay. Them Dey use their Opay collect money from citizens

Had an encounter way back in Imo State. The then IGP gave an order that all road blocks should be dismantled. So I was stopped and I asked the police men, I thought IGP said you guys should dismantle all road blocks, he replied me saying "IGP can't tell me what to do here. That order is for people in Abuja". In my view, what is bedevilling Nigeria in general is the same thing bedevilling the Nigerian Police Force. It is a leadership problem. Just imagine an IGP saying, "Any extortion, accidental discharge under your watch as a DPO, you will be sacked. Do you know what will happen? No DPO will send an untrained officer on the road again, they will monitor their officers 247, they will at every point in time want to know the exact location of their officers, what they are doing and if they are following the agreed ways of working. Additionally, when you have sacked 50-60 officers without pay for straight one month, and the officers knowing there is no job availability in the country, each and everyone of them will sit up. But this can't be achieved because those meant to checkmate them also collude with them.

😡 it’s not funny. @Justice_Crack I watched one your videos on campaign buses and ambulance. Nobody cares instead most people hail such profligacy. Now back to this ICPC chairman case - even the COP who’s lecturing us on the issue as if it’s our first time hearing about police extortion or even his first time. No! It’s not, but is he free from such terrible crime - I bet you - NO. He’s not a saint. But my point is this - it will get to everyone as @AishaYesufu use to say. It will get to people in aso rock one day… a police officer will demand for bribe from @aonanuga1956 one day. I’m getting somewhere - that’s kidnapping and insecurity: one day it will get to each and every one of them who have been moving on as if these poor people kidnapped and slaughtered day by day are not humans. Have you thought about a situation where this could have been kidnappers who were right before the ICPC chairman - the story now would have been different. His case is a blessing in disguise 🥸: apart from the fact that it has exposed the rot in the police and the government generally, on the other hand it’s a big strategic lesson for @icpcnigeria and @officialEFCC to disguise themselves once in a while, drop long security convoy; move into offices, streets and every corner of the society to enable you experience crimes first hand. This will give you a better understanding of how to clean up the mess we’re into in this country. I mean you the agencies of anti crime and security. ….wake up @icpcnigeria and @officialEFCC, even @PoliceNG and DSS because unless the day is shortened no soul shall be saved! 😡🚶‍♀️‍➡️

This is the fate of every average Nigerian daily, extortion, harassment, detention, threats and abuse many men and women who should protect them. Mr commissioner of police there are Nigerian citizens and they very important persons except they second class citizens in their fatherland. Face it the security agencies has a lot of criminals!

Some police officers don’t even know the IGP, AIGS and even the CP in their respective states. When you employ morons and street hoodlums in the force that’s what you should expect. The NPF and some other security agencies needs a drastic overhaul.

Low hanging fruits mr Justice. The real issue is that action was seen to happen because it happened to a bigman. The entire force nationwide needs to be revamped, retrained and well paid. They’re uniformed crooks including the one on the microphone.

The issue of not searching phones, no be Imo state, especially btw Obowu & mbaise. Those policemen are constantly at that same check point searching young boys phones, despite all the warning. IG of police should send a tactical team on investigation.

OPEN LETTER TO THE NIGERIAN POLICE FORCE Dear Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Police Force_CRU, I am posting this video because the man in it is an officer of the Nigerian Police Force, and his remarks about Igbos and Peter Obi are deeply troubling. As an Igbo man, how am I expected to trust the Nigerian Police when one of its officers publicly profiles Igbos as ritualists and Yahoo boys? The Nigerian Police Force is a federal institution established to protect every Nigerian, regardless of tribe, ethnicity or political affiliation. An officer who publicly makes such disparaging and discriminatory remarks about a section of Nigerians has demonstrated conduct that is completely incompatible with the responsibility and dignity of the office he occupies. There is video evidence of his conduct. I am therefore calling on Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Police Force_CRU to immediately identify this officer and dismiss him from the Nigerian Police Force with immediate effect. Anything less sends a dangerous message. If an officer can publicly make these statements about Igbos, remain in the Nigerian Police Force and face no serious disciplinary consequence, then the Nigerian public is entitled to question whether the position he expressed is tolerated by, or reflects the position of, the institution he represents. The Police Force must not allow silence or inaction to create that impression. This is about public trust. This is about the dignity of Nigerians. This is about whether an Igbo Nigerian can look at an officer of the Nigerian Police Force and believe that he will be treated fairly and without ethnic prejudice. Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Police Force_CRU, identify him, dismiss him and make it clear that this is not the position of the Nigerian Police Force.
