The primary message of the sabbath is to rest in the finished work of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Therefore, performances like this are ultimately a violation of the sabbath.

How anyone can pretend to take the Jewish "religion" seriously is beyond me. They are an utterly Godless people that need our prayer.

The pharisees got tied up in all the legalistic stuff until they became dead husks. They totally missed the point. That tradition carries on today.
