It feels like some people were comfortable with Faye being a background figure in Kratos' story but the moment she gets her own narrative and agency they start questioning her importance.

She doesnt NEED her own game. Do you know the saying "Some things are better left unsaid" ? What next? A game about Odin? Thor? That fuckass dwarf? Atreus's bitchy girlfriend? Even though game looks fun it will take away all the gravity of the first game

I think her game will answer a lot of lingering questions, bring closure to the Norse saga and smoothly transition into Kratos' next adventure. I'm excited to see the devs' vision come to life.

People aren't obligated to play a tomb raider game that doesn't involve Lara Croft if they don't want to. People aren't obligated to play a metroid game that doesn't involve Samus if they don't want to. People aren't obligated to play a God of war game that doesn't involve Kratos if they don't want to.

Okay, why didn’t they make Zeus game in GoW ascension? Why didn’t they make Athena’s game? Why didn’t they make mother Gaia’s game? Why didn’t they make Poseidon game? Why didn’t they make Deimos game? Most of these people i mentioned died just like Faye, oh and they were very crucial to Kratos story.

Some questions don’t need answers. Faye’s biggest draw in the Norse games is that se hear stories about her. We know she stood toe to toe with Asgard’s mightiest and even Kratos, who toppled an entire pantheon, spoke highly of her. At this point, as a story teller, you let your audience conjure up an image of her with what you have weaved, scant as it may be… Or you pop the concept entirely and dispel any ideas the audience had and make a game centered around the one character who’s mystery moved the Norse stories forward

I'm sorry Elia, but I just gotta disagree. Kratos is the most important, everyone else is just a passenger in his story. We didn't need an Athena or Ares solo game in Greek, we don't need a Laufey or Atreus solo game in Norse.

I agree that Kratos is the most important character and the developers have already confirmed that his story isn't over. Not every character should get a standalone game of course but if anyone has earned one, it's Faye. She's the catalyst for the entire Norse saga and the person who shaped Kratos more than anyone else. That's exactly why I think a Faye game makes sense. It can lay the groundwork for Kratos' next saga while finally giving us a deeper look at one of the most influential characters in his life. I trust the developers' vision and I'm excited to meet Faye as an actual character instead of only seeing her through Kratos' memories. Hope it turns out to be a great game🤞🏻

At the end of the day, we don't have to agree on everything. Hope you enjoy the game though, but I'll probably be running my 4th playthrough of Witcher 4 lol

Before Kratos arrived in Norse mythology, Laufey was the one stood against Aseir. She ensured the steps for Kratos and Atreus would be the one to end Odin's rein and to find inner peace with themselves
