#IMCTC launched in Malé, capital of the Republic of #Maldives a training program for Dawa personnel as part of “Moderation” Initiative titled; “Capacity building for Imams and Preachers”, in the presence of Maldives’ Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and IMCTC Secretary General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi. Several senior government officials and accredited ambassadors to the Republic of Maldives attended the launch ceremony. In the framework of ongoing efforts to clear the area of terrorist remnants, under the direct supervision of Wahab Halabjaiy , Director General of Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG), joint forces successfully conducted a strategic operation. The operation, carried out with high-level coordination between Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) forces, Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service جهاز مكافحة الإرهاب , and Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve Operation Inherent Resolve , resulted in the discovery and elimination of several terrorist hideouts and bases. This joint operation dealt a significant blow to terrorist capabilities and further weakened the logistical infrastructure of remaining terrorist groups in the region. This operation is part of a continuous series of efforts aimed at maintaining security and stability in the region and protecting civilian lives and property. CTG forces and their domestic and international partners remain committed to their efforts in eradicating terrorism and countering any threats to regional security.
