While visiting family I went shopping and couldn’t believe the prices for products that used to be inexpensive. Unless you’re a criminal, an illegal or a bum, you can’t live in California anymore. Democrats have created a system that rewards poverty. Everything is overpriced, because it’s over regulated and over taxed. Now more than half of the state lives on welfare thinking government is the answer, but the truth is government is the problem. Democrats have created a state where the rich subsidize the weak and poor creating a new slave class that continues to vote for them as long as they get their food stamps and free housing. We need to fund public schools in this country, especially in working-class neighborhoods. You can’t call yourself the party of the working class and then take away funding from schools that serve working-class kids. You can’t call yourself the party of the working class and then say a working-class kid who wants to go to college shouldn’t be able to get loans or scholarships to do that.

Dismissing AOC for talking about the rich in terms that a majority of Americans agree with is a mistake. The idea that the system is rigged to benefit the rich and that the working class up to the middle-class cannot get ahead is one of the most salient political arguments. Trump used to make it himself! Then gamed the system for himself and his friends - including the fraudsters he’s pardoned - of course.

Late-stage welfare statism is claiming disability for acne and food intolerance. But that’s the incentive of the welfare state and that’s how you end up with some 25% of the population claiming disability. Of course people are going to game the system. It’s free money, and it’s other people’s money. So the government has zero incentive to spend less or spend it wisely. And the parasites have every incentive to grab as much as they can. This is what legal plunder produces. A society that disincentivizes production and incentivizes parasitism. One where claiming disability for fucking acne becomes a rational move.
