Despite record-high state tax revenues, Democrats announced they plan to introduce a state income tax bill this week. A member of Democratic leadership has already acknowledged that all Washingtonians should expect to pay the new tax by 2030. House Republicans oppose an income tax because it is unnecessary, unconstitutional, and, by a Democrats’ own admission, would eventually affect everyone.

Scandinavian dairy multinational Arla Foods has terminated its trial of Bovaer, a controversial feed additive claimed to prevent global warming by reducing methane emissions from cattle. NEWS: Democrats in the Washington state House have advanced legislation in a 52-45 vote to introduce a 10% tax on the money that Tesla receives in the state from selling carbon emissions credits. The bill says: "while reducing emissions is good, the creation of these tradeable and bankable credits creates the opportunity for a financial windfall accruing to firms that are not burdened by the legacy production of internal combustion engine vehicle.” State Rep. Travis Couture, an Allyn Republican, argued the proposal would lead to fewer zero-emission vehicles in the state because they’d ultimately become more expensive. Couture noted that he drives a Ford F-150 “gas-guzzling pickup truck.” “And you know what? I think there’s going to be more F-150s on the road as a result of this bill because you’re de-incentivizing it with this tax,” he said. I think the bill now goes to the Washington State Senate for consideration.

So you are paying taxes on the taxes already added to a gallon of gas Example: - The cost of a gallon of gas is $6 - California state applies: 63.4 cents in tax - Now the gallon is $6.34 per gallon - Instead of local cities applying their own, say 5.5% tax on the 6 per gallon like they should, they tax the 5.5% on the full $6.34 per gallon price So you are literally paying taxes on taxes Now the heck is this legal??
