@CamCutApp Tesla has a viewer online, you just have to login and then you can download them unencrypted

Thanks for that important detail. Do you know Does downloading them unencrypted retain the embedded telemetry? Even though I’m glad Tesla lets you unencrypt them it will be super cumbersome once I integrate wireless usb drive support which would allow you to download the clips directly to the camcut app as well as uploading them to cloud storage over WiFi

@CamCutApp Yes! It is a button you see in the car that you click near the button that changes playback speed. It then takes 10-20 seconds and says it’s unencrypted and it is then visible in CamCut and other apps!

Cool that’s great to know. Although it will be super cumbersome to use the wireless usb drive support that I’ll be integrating into CamCut app. The wireless drive was going to eliminate one friction of having to remove the physical device from the glovebox but now Tesla introduced another one

@CamCutApp They have a different endpoint for decryption not from the official APIs so far. You would have to build custom calls to that endpoint to get the keys of each clip.

@CamCutApp So is the one-time Tesla sign-in really just for authentication, and then the app can decrypt future clips offline? Or does it need to request a new key from Tesla for every clip?

There’ll be some number of cars that Tesla owns itself and operates in the fleet, and then there’ll be a bunch of cars owned by the end user. That end user can add or subtract their car from the fleet whenever they want. They can decide if they only want the car to be used by friends and family, by five-star users, or by anyone at any time. They could have the car come back to them and be exclusively theirs, like an Airbnb. You could rent out your guest room or not anytime you want.”

People bring their ego onto the road. Even when politely shown they’re in the wrong, they see it as a direct challenge to their self-respect, an insult they must fight back against. Worse, years of unchecked rule-breaking turn into a sense of entitlement.

We don't know what happened between them beforehand, or the extent of any injuries. Whatever came before it, this isn't the answer. turns out my habits were only half of it 9 steps to cut your Grok Bot usage by over 50% (if you're on a Cursor plan): 1. open cursor desktop app settings 2. go to the models option in the side menu 3. flip off any models you don't want to be using 4. next, set task models in the top of the page to a model you prefer that's cost efficient (do not leave it on default, this is IMPORTANT) 5. otherwise... your task models could auto set to high and/or fast... that's a more expensive model, and you get billed 2x 6. after, you'll click on the cloud agents option in your side menu, and it'll take you to the cursor web dashboard for your account 7. you will need to scroll down to the preferences section on that page and click on the default model option (again IMPORTANT) 8. set that to a cost efficient model you prefer and don't leave it on default... otherwise your cloud agents may use high and/or fast yet again 9. bonus tip (won't apply to most): lastly click on the spending option in your web dashboard's side menu and also make sure your on-demand usage is not on unlimited and is set to a cap you're comfortable with my token usage has reduced 60% after doing this and I'm sure it'll be different for everyone... but make sure to check this process can be a tad bit confusing too let me know if you need any help!

Stop wearing sunglasses. You have 23 aromatic amino acids and the majority of them are at the back of your eye in your retina. You need the natural light to hit these in order to make chemicals in your body that cannot be made any other way. When you get cataracts, they remove your lens and put a synthetic one in and guess what happens down the line? You get a detached retina. Put the sunglasses in the bin but hang on to the mirrored ones for wearing at night, to protect your eyes when driving, from the LED lights. I’ll admit it. This isn’t the cutest baby video I’ve ever posted. But it might be one of the most important. So let’s talk for a moment about car seat safety. As you know I’m always on the lookout for videos that illustrate important aspects of child development. But today I want to alert you to a trend I’ve seen across an alarming number of online posts: incorrect car seat installation and usage. Car seats protect babies from injury. They save lives. But in order to do their job they have to be used properly. And this proper use involves both: 1) how the seat itself is installed in your vehicle, and 2) how your child is buckled in. Installing a car seat’s base can be REALLY difficult. It needs to be snugly attached to the car, allowing no wiggle room. Whether it’s your individual strength, the odd geometry involved, or both, it can be very difficult to tighten the seatbelt to manufacturers recommendations. But if you find the base isn’t yet securely attached (and can be wiggled from side to side, for example) it’s important never to settle for “as tight as I can get it.” Seek out a friend or neighbor to assist. Or better yet, go to a car seat clinic or police department where trained and experienced experts are often available to assist with proper installation. In the event of an accident or sudden stop, you don’t want your child’s car seat in motion. Yet I’ve run across a ton of videos recently in which seats clearly aren’t securely attached. More common still, are videos in which children aren’t securely harnessed inside - and/or where straps or chest clips are incorrectly positioned. Obviously you don’t want your baby so tightly restrained as to cause discomfort, but it’s equally important that straps themselves aren’t too slack. They should be snug enough to pass the “pinch test” shown in this video. (If there’s enough extra seatbelt to bunch any up between your fingers, it’s too loose.) The chest clip should always be positioned at the same height as your baby’s armpits. And don’t forget that you’ll need to adjust the positioning of straps as your baby grows to ensure they are properly placed. Know a new parent? I hope you’ll share this post with them.
