📢📢Context/Details 📢📢 In 1985, American chemist Galen Winsor ate radioactive uranium live on camera to prove that the fear of radiation has been exaggerated and that a few powerful people can control power resources. Winsor is known for arguing against nuclear fear and hysteria, and he believed that the toxicity of uranium was a greater risk than its radioactivity. He claimed to have ingested uranium without suffering health effects. Winsor consumed the radioactive material in 1986 and died in 2008, when he was of age 86. Winsor gave 77 lectures in which he tried to convince the audience by eating uranium. One of his most memorable moments was eating uranium during his 1985 educational film “The Nuclear Scare Scam".
