What a coincidence, I too received a call, and it was an IVR call as initially I was asked to press 1 to talk to the customer executive. These scammers are improving their tech day by day.

Got this same call a few days back. Mumbai to Taiwan - Drugs, Stolen passports and some other 'illegal things". The person accepted that FedEx has indeed left India but his call is valid.

Same happened with my wife also. The guy at other end said there is a courier registered in your name which has been intercepted and has drugs in it. But strange thing is that he didnt ask for any money. He just said perhaps your identity is misused and hung up the call.
