Back to the Future. It’s a defining, all-time summer blockbuster that almost didn’t happen had Robert Zemeckis not realized that Eric Stoltz was not suited to play Marty McFly. Zemeckis deserves eternal credit for recognizing that Michael J. Fox was better suited for the role & it literally made the entire difference. If Stoltz remained as McFly, there’s no chance the trilogy is anywhere near as good as it is & Rob is responsible.
