That's the difference. I was there, reckless, wild, zero defense. It was a shootout from the start. He didn't have to move his feet. He didn't have to use his boxing brain. Spoke with Eye of the Tiger promoter, Camille Estephan , regarding the Ramirez-Richards decision. He sent me a video, highlighting Richards’ low blows which, along with some comments, I have attached below. “Honestly, I didn’t sit and judge the fight but it was an unfortunate performance in the sense that it was a very boring fight. “Wrestling and hugging is not what I want to present to our fans. The video I sent you is maybe one of the reasons that the judges rendered their decision. “One thing is for sure, we have been used to very exciting performances at Eye of the Tiger and that was definitely not acceptable for a main event.” When asked whether he would be interested in a rematch, in order for Ramirez to right the wrongs of the first fight, Estephan told me, “the fight was so boring, I want to make exciting fights”, insinuating that he hopes to avoid a second meeting.
