I saw that a few people in chat were confused by my comments I made about Hasan's handling of Black issues. As someone who used to think Hasan was anti-Black racist, I will say that compared to his fellow white counterparts in the leftist political space, Hasan does handle Black issues satisfactorily. However, I do have a few criticisms with how it appears like he tries to speed through certain talking points because he's worried that he's going to get clipped out of context. That is a criticism that I'm allowed to have. It is something that a few fellow Black Hasanabi heads agree with me on. That doesn't mean I hate him, and if you're a Black Hasanabi head and you don't agree, that's okay too. But I saw that a few people in chat were confused by my comments made in that portion of the video so I figured I would clarify.

I used to think racial tropes were a Republican thing. Trump. MAGA. Dog whistles. But let’s be real: Democrats do it too — and they get a pass. When Kathy Hochul warned about Black people “wasting money,” she wasn’t speaking in the abstract. She was talking about money Black families are about to receive, implying liquor stores instead of children. That’s not a joke. That’s a racial trope. Black History Celebration Misrepresentation at Chaffey College Chaffey College I attended what was advertised as a Black History Celebration Kickoff at Chaffey College, expecting an event that truly honored Black culture and contributions. However, upon arrival, I saw little to no representation of Black history, culture, or community. OpenAI’s SORA 2 continues to let videos be made that mock and disrespect Black people and the Black community through racial stereotypes. A slew of AI generated videos are now flooding TikTok, portraying Black women as being angry about losing access to EBT. This is digital blackface. For all the things that AI could be used for, this is exactly the problem with AI-generated content. These videos are disrespectful, fake, and racist. Even worse, other users who don’t realize they’re fake are making commentary based on them, spreading more ignorance and hate. This isn’t creativity. It’s algorithmic racism disguised as entertainment. And if we don’t speak up now, AI will continue to amplify the same racist stereotypes we’ve fought to dismantle for decades.
