I remember, when this came out, there were rumors going around that Plank from Ed, Edd n Eddy was an alien spy. It turned out it wasn't true, but that would've been a great WTF twist that seems just weird enough to fit in with EE&E's style of humor...

For those who don’t know, this special was all because of a sponsorship with Kraft Cheese. However Kraft backed out last minute presumably due to the Billy and Mandy episode. According to Craig McCracken no one on board was excited about the special.

Nah as an 11 year old during this, this crossover event STUCK with me. I loved aliens as a kid and it was fun to see the shows do it. Edd Ed n Eddy was def my fave, but it was fun all over.

My question is… why wasn’t Ben 10 apart of this event? That seems like an obvious choice. Then again this event was more on the comical side.

I heard that the creators of all these shows didn't want to do this, which shows cause I think three of these five shows all had the same twist that the aliens were never real & it was all a misunderstanding. I think Billy and Mandy (and maybe lazlo?) were the only ones to commit

i remember disney channel doing this a couple of times (particularly one where the theme was freaky friday body swap episodes), albeit for like a weekend rather than a whole month. it definitely seems like it would be a logistical challenge to get all those shows to line up

A really lovely GRID VIEW is coming to Basecamp 5 shortly. We had a grid view in 4, but it wasn't any good and I didn't want to drag it into 5. Had we done that, we'd have called it done and never revisited. By intentionally leaving it out, we allowed pressure to build to bring it back. And with no legacy to battle or revamp, we were able to return to the drawing board and make something so much better, from scratch. Coming to a Basecamp near you. Soon.
