In 2009 The Obama Administration had reconstruction done on the reflecting pool because of severe structural sinking & leaking because it was built on marshy river clay. Engineers added deep pilings,a new circulation system,new foundation,tile etc which took 18 months. No rush

This pool has 24/7 cameras on it. So we’re in a place where the president is just lying because he can’t handle that he totally screwed up the Reflecting Pool.

How much longer will New York City exist? NASA Scientists now say that parts of New York City are sinking! Serious! Sinking! After the past few days of severe flooding in NYC, this is beginning to worry a lot of concerned citizens. According to researchers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, between the years 2016 and 2023, parts of the city have sunk approximately 0.06 inches per year. Part of the reason why some of the city is sinking is because it was built on landfills. The other reasons are natural ones. 10s of thousands of years ago a giant ice sheet was located on top of New England, which pushed the land down, but it also forced land around the ice to move up. Now that the ice sheet is gone, New England is slowly moving upward, while parts of NYC is moving back down. Does this mean that flooding will continue to get worse in parts NYC? Likely so.
