We’re trying to give ourselves a swing at the plate every year. We did that last year. The point of where we are with the age of our best players is we can still be good but we’re obviously not in the same class as we were 5-6 years ago. We’re not in the same class as the team we played tonight and several other teams in the league. There’s no point in denying that. We have to embrace it, be realistic, and give ourselves a shot. We can give ourselves a shot like we did a year ago by connecting and staying healthy and getting on a run. We’re still good enough to do that. If you do that and you have a shot, you get to the playoffs, you never know what’s going to happen. I think that’s where we are right now so we’ve got to keep fighting.”

This tone is one that is very different from the “final decision” tone we heard June 18th. Chief Justice John Roberts said Wednesday that the Supreme Court doesn’t feature “purely political actors,” comments that come after a notable decision affecting the Voting Rights Act. “I think, at a very basic level, people think we’re making policy decisions, we’re saying we think this is how things should be, as opposed to what the law provides,” Roberts told 3rd U.S. Circuit judges and lawyers at a conference. “I think they view us as purely political actors, which I don’t think is an accurate understanding of what we do.”

Who owns these HipHop sites. We’re at a point right now, in social media and media as a whole, where we must reexamine who’s behind the platforms and pages that appear to represent Black culture. When you dig a little deeper, many of these outlets are owned by white corporations that profit from creating content designed to pit Black people against one another. But I’ll let you be the judge of that. My advice: always look at who’s at the core of what you consume especially in media and social media moving forward.

I am not certain where this is at... A neighbor called on the guy next door for washing his car. The police came, with a printout of the law stating it is illegal to wash your car on public property. The issue is this is his driveway, which is private property. But the cop said it is in public viewing and he will site the guy if he continues to wash. At what point are we the people going to say enough? Police are to protect and serve, yet the laws that they have to enforce are fckn absurd sometimes. This is a definite overstep, in terms of being a law... 🤬😓

If a goalkeeper is diving and the ball takes a deflection, changing direction and going to the other side, then I’ll definitely agree that the deflection played a major role. But here, we’re talking about a goalkeeper who was just standing still before and after the ball took a deflection. At some point, we need to stop defending nonsense as Mamelodi Sundowns supporters and face reality. 🙏🏾

Nick Ferrari is spot on. “As soon as the going gets tough in the United Kingdom we just stop!” During past heatwaves, kids had lessons outside in the fields. Now schools shut at the first sign of sun. Ferrari called it “a shocking lesson to our schoolchildren”. He’s right. How do they manage in Africa and India? They don’t shut everything down just because it’s warm. This meltdown over a few warm days is ridiculous. Get on with it man! We’re teaching the next generation that as soon as things get a little difficult, we just give up. Not good!
