Here are the cold maps they didn't show you... Large parts of the Northern Hemisphere ran exceptionally cold this winter: Alaska, Canada, Scandinavia, Northern Eurasia, much of Russia. The December through February anomaly maps show broad cold across roughly 35 million km2. Then spring arrived, but the cold held. From March through mid-May, Canada and Alaska remained under a persistent cold pool. At the same time, the lower 48 ran warm. So of course the media highlighted the warmth. The public got the curated heat reel. While the broader cold was ignored.
