In a proof-of-stake protocol, validators are trustworthy until proven otherwise. This model leaves gaps where validators can extract uneccessary value from users. When it comes to the user experience, Stellar is the true gold standard. Garand Tyson👇

MEV bots pulled ~$24M from Ethereum users in 30 days. Vitalik's response? A lot of new acronyms for a very old problem — encrypted mempools, FOCIL, ePBS. All designed to decentralize MEV, not eliminate it. validators still extract value from users, just by a more distributed set of bots. But what if there wasn't any MEV at all? On Stellar, validators earn no fees and transaction ordering is randomized, eliminating most MEV you see on Ethereum. And if someone did try frontrunning? the network can remove them - no fork, no staked capital required.

🔍 What is Proof of Stake (PoS)? It’s a blockchain consensus mechanism where validators stake cryptocurrency for a chance to verify new blocks. The more you stake, the higher your chances. 💡 But there’s a catch—cheat, and you lose your stake.

With Alpenglow, there will be no onchain voting anymore for achieving consensus. This removes the cost of including votes into blocks. However, in order to avoid abrupt change in economics for the validators and maintain same equilibrium, there is an ongoing discussion for this Solana upgrade to have a small form of incentive (like a tax) where the validators will have to pay to be part of the system next epoch. When determining the set of validators for the new epoch, the fee is deducted, and if a validator cannot pay the fee, they are not included in the next set of validators. Here is the writeup: Listen to the full episode for more details on Alpenglow!

"we bring the same principles of the equity world to digital assets" Native assets of public permissionless decentralized networks are commodities, not equities. They exclude Bitcoin while keeping ETH/Solana? Do they not know that PoS and PoW are very similar in the principles they are trying to measure? The index composition makes no sense and imo is the scary truth, that institutions in this space struggle hard to 1) understand it 2) how to value it. Protocol revenue here is literally the friction between users and forced stakeholders like miners and validators. The more revenue a protocol earns the more it took away from users to use a network. It's bizarre how this makes sense for an open protocol, it makes absolutely sense for a business and thus equities. The XRP Ledger says, hey its super cheap to make forward progress if just agree on it, no friction no revenue. We are so ahead in our understanding of this space it's not even remotely funny.

Finalizing 7845 transactions in 34s with only 4 validators and 4 contract peers! Since the network is able to scale, Trac Network is becoming StreamFi-ready thanks to its blockless architecture. In the upcoming demo (hypermall) you can witness fast trading w/ TAP Protocol. $tap stakers will receive trading fees and exclusive DMT assets in the vein of Natcats. Some details for the final network: - No contract deployment costs - Validators earn Trac - Contract devs earn Trac through transactions - Synthetic contract validation: extra Trac for validators - TAP Validators get rewarded w/ TAP tokens - and much more!

Reports appeared that today in Tbilisi, instead of checking tickets, validators in public transport started playing slogans and sounds that can be heard at protests in the Georgian capital – "Glory to Ukraine, Glory to Georgia, F*ck Russia", "Putin is an *sshole" and so on. The Tbilisi City Hall said that the validators are temporarily disabled. Until the system is repaired, transportation will be free of charge.

The #pDAI picture has become clear, in what some believe are the final moments before the peg p-DaiMaxi has found that the secret L2 will deliver the peg through a protocol using a sealed vault model - where collateral goes in, but isn’t redeemed by us or arbitrage bots. Think of it like the Greyscale model. Where assets flow in and tradable shares are distributed. In this model, #pDAI acts as a share. #pDAI as a share of this vaults value can maintain its peg to $1 without the need for it to be redeemed by the underlying assets. ⬇️ If pDAI $1: The treasury sells pDAI to the market and uses the proceeds to buy #WPLS, #HEX, #PLSX - injecting value into other ecosystem tokens. ⬇️ This is where we’ll see the #Hex encapsulated stakes appear as collateral. This is where the OA bags will end up. This is where our story comes to its climax. #pDAI to $1 Video from @files_dirty 👇
