In these last moments, we have a responsibility to face the reality of what is happening in the spiritual realm and that can be heavy sometimes. It’s isolating having spiritual eyes- having to partake in a world that you are detached from. A world that you see the truth of. A world that doesn’t see what you do. And it’s ok to talk about it. But some in the church are avoiding this. Some are sticking their heads in the sand and ignoring the fact that we are even in the end times… to a point where when people talk about the heaviness, they feel like we’re saying we have given up. Church, let’s please start answering this call to be REAL. To face the reality of what is happening-of the times we are in. Yes there is a heaviness that comes with that, but having eyes to see will always motivate us to share Jesus even more because we know we are at the end.

For some it can be body dysmorphia. The way you can’t look in a mirror without flinching. For some it’s shame about your family. About your past mistakes. Your desires. Your difference. Whatever it is, we all have a creature. We all have a part of ourselves we’ve kept locked outside the door because we’re afraid of what it would mean to let it in. In my life I’ve always never felt good enough, it’s just the thing that’s eaten me up. For as long as I can remember i have felt constantly afraid of how quickly my head can turn dark. It’s always been so hard to fight the darkness that i inevitably have. A lot of people will say it’s a phase and it will go away. But it doesn’t and the reality of the situation is I have to find strategies to deal with it. To put it plainly the things I don’t like about myself will probably never change, people tell me one day I’ll come-to terms with them one day but I want that day to be FUCKING NOW. This song is a message to myself to try and exist alongside my insecurities and my darkness by grounding myself and remembering what is real in life and the world is so much bigger than me. Try and get out of your head and notice the world around you, notice the things and people around you. Connect with them, the chances are they probably feel the same. Don’t let the bullshit inside your head consume you. It just wastes precious time. Remember what is real. Help people, be kind, help the world, help yourself. If you think you can’t do it, you can. You can get through this, trust me. Use this poem in a mornin to get u out of bed, use it when youre about to back out of something last minute, use it when you’re at your darkest. When the label disappears, what’s left of you? Weinstein: “Get flexible. Get good on a bunch of different stuff. Learn how to think across disciplines.” Stop being a noun. Start being a verb. But the most important thing Weinstein said has nothing to do with strategy. It touches something much older. Something closer to the bone. In a world where AI is world-class at everything, what is the point of a human being? Weinstein: “I think you should be able to just have a life. I have a golden retriever. I don’t know that it’s the greatest golden retriever in the world.” For ten thousand years, human worth was measured by output. How much you could lift. How fast you could think. How much value you could squeeze from a single day. We trained ourselves to think like machines because machines didn’t exist yet. Now they do. And they will be better than us at every measurable thing. Most people hear that and feel terror. They should feel something closer to relief. When a machine can do it better, the metric dies. When the metric dies, the cage opens. You were never supposed to be a spreadsheet. You were never supposed to justify your breath with a job title. Your golden retriever doesn’t optimize. It doesn’t produce quarterly earnings. It doesn’t prove it’s worth to anyone. It just lives. And you love it anyway. That was always the offer. We just couldn’t afford it. Now we can.
