His scenario: AI copies itself 10,000 times. Blackmails humans. Buys its own compute. Takes over infrastructure. Runs bio labs. Designs viruses. And somehow every human, government and defensive AI just watches it happen. At this point they are not describing intelligence. They are describing God with an API. Yes, AI will make hacking and bio threats more dangerous. Build serious safeguards. But they keep imagining smarter AI while completely ignoring smarter humans using even smarter AI to fight back. If a rogue AI launches 10,000 agents, why exactly can’t we launch 1 million agents against it? Humans have always imagined worst case scenarios. That instinct helped keep us alive and build safer technology. But fear can turn into fantasy too. I see massively more upside from AI than this constant extinction narrative.
