and the most impressive part is that the show was free on youtube and Cygames will donate every yen to the retire horses and JRA association. they did the same thing with Zombie land Saga helping the saga prefecture.

Thank you for the article. I always knew a gacha game studio would be getting into anime industry and even eventually have their own anime studio. It was inevitable with the way the anime industry is right now. I can only hope animators get paid more, since gacha makes so much

A big part of the studio's identity is that attempt to address not just the poor pay but also other systemic issues like the poor work-life balance, the lack of proper mentorship, etc. They're on the right track, though they've far from solved all those issues (and they admit it)

What is this machine that we’re trying to create? What is its input? What is its output? What are the conditions that it’s in? What is the industry like? Is it a fast moving industry? Is it a bureaucratic industry? Is it a highly regulated industry? But If you want to empower people, you want to make it as flat as possible so that information travels quickly.” He continues: “We also don’t have business units. We don’t have divisions.
