Someone simulated 10,000 gorillas vs 1,000,00 men. The gorillas wiped them out. But 100 men could probably take out one gorilla. If the men split up into 10,000 groups of 100 each, and then spread out across the plain, they would have a better chance, as long as they could spread out the gorillas too.
