In Israel, drones have started picking apples. The machine determines the ripeness, sweetness and integrity of the fruit, and then gently plucks it from the branch.

🤨 Apples are cheap. This machine is not quick, cheap or self-powering. Can apples provide enough profit to power this machine? Apples certainly won’t provide enough revenue to maintain or replace it. Not at its current pace.
