According to reports, the driver was spitting outside his car. The elderly man politely told him in English, “Don’t spit.” This simple request reportedly triggered the driver, who then turned violent and attacked the senior citizen couple. This incident highlights a serious lack of civic sense and civic responsibility. Spitting in public and assaulting elderly citizens for pointing it out shows a complete failure of basic citizen duty. Such aggressive and disrespectful behaviour towards senior citizens is deeply concerning and cannot be tolerated in any civilised society. Thane Police must take swift and strict action against the perpetrator. We must uphold civic values and ensure the safety and respect of our elders
