Wamalwa Kalonzo Musyoka and Rigathi Gachagua we visited the IEBC headquarters and held candid discussions on strengthening public confidence in the Electoral Commission. We raised concerns about the recent by- elections and agreed on creating a framework for constant, effective technical engagement with the Commission.

Conservatives put the facts on the table: • Bill C-14 wasn’t introduced until October 23 • It passed the House with Conservative support on November 18 • Conservatives brought forward 19 motions to fast-track it at committee, each was BLOCKED by Liberals This session alone, Conservatives have tabled 12 justice and public safety bills, all focused on strengthening bail, protecting victims, and keeping repeat violent offenders off our streets. Public safety must be treated as a core responsibility of government. Conservatives will continue to hold the Liberals to account — because keeping Canadians safe cannot wait.

Canada’s National Security clearance system is in question following the arrest of an alleged spy at NATO’s HQ in Belgium. This is why my Conservative colleagues and I put forward a motion today requesting that the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security investigate Canada’s security screening process. As a result of our motion, the committee will hold meetings upon the resumption of Parliament, and we will hear from the Minister of Public Safety and other potential witnesses.

It’s a bill by Harold V. Dutton, Jr. for testing and measuring Kindergarten readiness.
