Just a little clarity. He can’t pardon a state case. However, I firmly believe the answer would have been “No”, no matter what.

She belongs in electric chair.

Why would someone even ask such a stupid question. He has no authority to pardon her, she wasn't charged with a federal crime. Only the governor of Massachusetts has that authority for a state charge

I mean, technically he can't anyway.

It's a state charge. This has nothing to do with Trump. Does he know that?

He can’t pardon a state’s case, only federal. Clanceys attorney wanted to get Trump to chime in so he could claim her charges needed to be dropped due to National attention & lack of finding a fair, unprejudiced jury.

Obviously Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer isn’t the brightest bulb in the box

Trump cannot pardon her for the state crime, even if he wanted to. Constitution/Law School 101. A president can only grant pardons/clemency for FEDERAL CRIMES! Any state level crimes can only be pardoned/commuted via either the governor or state pardon/clemency board!

The win, would be her sitting in prison for the rest of her life staring at a wall thinking about the 3 children she brutally murdered.

I don’t even know why he talks to the media so much. It’s stupid to ask him about a state case, they were just hoping he would say something they could twist and hold against him

He can’t anyways. She’s charged with state crimes

Hero

He doesnt want him to pardon her, he wants jury nullification. Wake up people. He wants Trumps polarizing affect to tank thr states case. Hes a dirty fucking lawyer.

Good!

He has no authority in that crime

In other words, he should have said..she needs to be executed

Who cares

Reddington has an ethics claim being investigated by the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Not like he could even if he wanted to. State case. Similar with Derek Chauvin.

"I appreciate that he feels that way"

Tim Cruz is a bad ass, I will be very surprised if he does not retry her . He is the only one in our state that is tough on crime

He cant pardon her because she is not convicted of anything, plus he loves children.

Aside from the fact that she is not charged with a federal crime, she hasn't been convicted of anything, yet. The question was asked to make him look bad.

I mean… he can’t lol.

@realDonaldTrump, a more definitive NO was warranted here.

Trump cares about children. Thats a big no!

How could •ANY• POTUS Pardon someone from a STATE crime?

He legally can’t.

Amen

If it were possible, it would be terrible for him to do so. And I don’t think he’s that stupid.

He can’t and he wouldn’t if he could

The lawyer is weird for even asking.

presidential pardons only cover federal offenses. A Massachusetts state murder case is outside that power.
