Agree with every word. ‘The children who need the support the most to catch up, get that support’ Take funding to private schools and give it to public schools. Private schools don’t need a private plunge pool for the Principal.

@Alexia_Karam

@girl_lockdown Excellent. Change was needed.

Can’t wait to see what this “additional support” looks like in reality. It’s a step in the right direction but we still and will for sometime have an even bigger hurdle… a teacher shortage.

And an impressive answer too

Great initiative But, STOP funding private schools

are you still publishing the results? because that’s the crux of the problem with naplan. that’s where all the pressure on kids, teachers and parents comes from. who wins with publication? why not keep the results in-house? do the tests, make them surprise tests so schools 1/3

Next year, you will announce the removal of Naplan. You will realize that real-time data is the way, tracked throughout the year, every year. These Naplan results are simply ego boosters for schools rife with issues. Just a mask.

@lynlinking 👀

That’s all well and good. 24% of year 9 students don’t make the minimum standard for writing!
