"In some areas we had 99% of people voting, which is physically impossible, because the electoral registers are always about 18 months old and more than 1% of people will have died." Craig Murray "The point I want to make to you, which I think is most important and...

Indyref 2014 was rigged, most of it happened in plain sight. Sara Salyers of Salvo.Scot explains how. "In a consultative referendum, an opinion poll, there's no contract, there's no actual requirement, which David Cameron did point out, to abide by the results of that referendum. "So they did not then set it up in the way that a proper constitutional referendum would have been set up according to international standards to begin with. "The people who would be voting in that referendum would be people who had a stake in the future of the nation whose future they were voting on. "We had every boy and his dog able to vote. So people who hadn't been in Scotland for, you know, more than maybe a few months, basically, all these people had a vote on the future of Scotland as an independent nation, which is, if you just think about it, think how absurd that is, people with no stake. "Now, had that been serious, you know, a real referendum, that we were going to be allowed to have a chance of winning, they would have applied international standards, they would have used something like the new Caledonia franchise, which is a really solid. "And it doesn't exclude people who've moved into Scotland. It isn't just ethnic Scots, it's, you know, it's people who have a genuine stake, interest in the future of that nation. That franchise, it shouldn't be a council... local council franchise, it should be one that reflects the stakeholders, who are the real stakeholders, and that's what that needs to be. That it wasn't, should have told us everything. "Then we had the Edinburgh Agreement, and the Edinburgh Agreement said that there was a Purdah period, during which no new policies were to be announced. There was no... you know, all the campaigning would go on and then it stops. You can rehearse the arguments and everything that's been put forward, but nothing new should be introduced. "Well, we got 'The Vow', 'Devo Max', less than two days before the vote. 'If you vote No, you will get this'. Of course, that did not deliver, but it completely breached the Edinburgh Agreement. "Well, what the sad afterwards was, 'Well, there's no evidence that it altered people's minds. Of course it did. Of course it told people, 'Well, if you don't want to go all the way to independence, we could have,' I think Gordon Brown said, 'it would be almost a federal relationship,' you know, blah, blah, blah. "And that that meant people could say, 'Well, if we're afraid of what will happen, afraid of being pulled out of the European Union, we'd like a lot more power, but we were not sure about a total break...'. Well, of course, then they voted No. "Then you also had the media. And in a properly run referendum, according to international rules, you make sure it's 50-50, that people get both sides of the argument, absolutely equally. "There was a full study done, and it took one guy, Glasgow University lecturer in particular, to go through everything and come back and say, 'Look, it was over 70%, 'No' media coverage', and that also breaches international standards. "So we didn't have any possibility of a fair referendum. And that wasn't coincidental. And had there been any kind of vote tampering, say, with the postal vote, because it was only consultative and there was no actual, therefore fraud, it makes it nearly impossible to get a judicial review. "And there is no way, no matter what they have said, no matter what they have told us, 'Get a majority of members elected to Westminster' and that 'You don't need a referendum', or if 'Scotland wants to leave, then it has the right to do so'. No matter what the British State has said, that was never true." Sara Salyers on the @untribalpol @TheScotCongress

"Ireland's position was exactly analogous to that of Scotland" "There are roots through the United Nations, particularly once you accept that Scotland's position is as a colony. "That part is the part which is psychologically difficult for some people in the independence movement. It's very strange because nobody has any difficulty whatsoever in accepting that Ireland was a colony. "Nobody will argue with you if you tell them Ireland was a colony. Ireland's position was exactly analogous to that of Scotland. It had a Treaty of Union. It had Irish people owning slaves in colonies abroad. "It had the Irish elite fully co-opted into the colonial project. It had massive amounts of Irish people serving in the British Army. All the things people say make Scotland not a colony, they don't somehow see Ireland as not being a colony, because of exactly the same reasons. "And that's because of course, Ireland has escaped. And once you've escaped, your former position becomes clearer. "And we still of course, suffer the effects of colonial deprivation. Not only in our lack of control over our own fiscal policy, monetary policy, defence policy, foreign policy, but also in our massive exploitation and expropriation of our trade. The fact that nearly all our trade has to come in at great cost through England, and that nearly all our exports go out at great cost through England. "We are controlled and we are milked. We suffer brain drain. Once you have that perception, it becomes fairly clear that the UN Decolonization Committee is a place to take your case." "Many of us shed tears the morning after that vote." Bonnie Prince Bob "Not only did the SNP fail to secure independence, right, so it's a failed independence project. You only have to look at how invested the Scottish National Party are, in cultivating anti-British culture, anti-British state culture in Scotland. They control Scottish arts and culture, Creative Scotland under Angus Robertson, the Minister of Culture, the Z-ion-ist Minister of Culture. And rather than funding art and culture, and expressions of Scottish identity and Scottish national sovereignty and nationalism, that embody, you know: what is Scotland as a country, distinguishable from England? Who are we? What does it mean? Rather than looking at that, they will give an artist from London, a triple-barrelled, rich, privileged girl from London, £120,000 rather than supporting our local culture. But not only that. If the Scottish independence referendum was the most seismic event in Scottish politics and culture in a century or more, we have not had a single reenactment of it. No dramatisation, no funded plays. If the SNP were genuinely interested in harnessing the energy of the independence referendum, keeping it on the boil and then focusing it into how we win sovereignty in the subsequent years from that point, we would have had dramatisations, we would have plays, we would had all kinds of things that sought to channel and make sense of that event. Many of us shed tears the morning after that vote. Many of us had put time and effort and belief and hope and we wanted something better. And we found that destroyed. And the people, the people that were most satisfied and comfortable with that, were, those that were interested in one thing and one thing only. They never wanted independence. They wanted electoral power and they got it. And they got another 10 years out of us. The failures. They got another 10 years out of us." WhatTheX Discontent Liberate Scotland The SNP The SNPMedia

"Reclaiming sovereignty is a route to the international courts and to a declaration of independence and reclaiming Scotland's sovereignty. "This is about how you get independence. It's still not accepted by the Scottish National Party, still not understood by many people. Independence is not a question of domestic politics. "Independence is a question of international law. "Independence is your existence as a state in relation to other international states. "And it's that recognition which makes you an independent state, nothing to do with your domestic politics. If other states recognise you as an international state, you are a state. "It doesn't matter what the UK government thinks, they don't have a veto. All of this is part of the practical path to independence. The political route is a dead end. It's deliberately a dead end. "The entire colonial system of administering Scotland through a puppet council in Holyrood that calls itself a parliament and which does nothing, in fact, about independence, all of that is 'a blind', that route, everyone can see it's stalled. "The SNP could win another five elections on the trot and they still won't actually do anything about independence. "To achieve independence, you have to go down the routes we are doing. Of course, that has to be allied with increasing domestic support for independence and for your eventual Declaration of Independence and assertion of that in the international fora. "Of course, you need domestic support and to build it, but the UK political process is a complete and utter dead end. What we are doing is essential to independence. "And finally, I would say it still astonishes me that there are literally hundreds of people, from the SNP, employed in one way or another, employed in highly paid jobs as MPs, as MPs, assistants, as research assistants, as special advisors, as members of the Scottish Parliament, as government ministers. "There are all these professional people who are paid. None of us, nobody here is getting paid a penny. And we are doing for nothing what these paid hacks from the SNP should have been doing a decade ago." Brexit was won by the worst abuses of democracy in modern British history. Here is one of them. The "Will of the People" was used to suppress democracy after the Brexit Referendum. Lord Sumption giving the Reith Lectures addressed the Brexiters' claim that Brexit is the will of the people. He said - "This is the authentic language of totalitarianism. It is the lowest point to which a political community can sink short of actual violence." This is not about percentages. It doesn't matter what percentage voted for Brexit. It is about a referendum being used to attack the fundamental democratic right to oppose, and to promote the totalitarian division of society into the people and its enemies, the subversives and saboteurs. In the period following the referendum the so-called "Will of the People" was used to create a climate of intimidation that silenced almost all political & media opponents of Brexit. During that period Britain was not functioning as a democracy, and we are still living with its effects, pro-European politicians are still cowed by the Brexit "Will of the People". In a democracy there is government and opposition, majority and minority, competing parties and dissenting voices. There is no totalitarian unity of the "Will of the People" which makes all opponents into the enemies of the people. Where the right to oppose ends, democracy dies, and that is exactly exactly why dictators like Hitler loved referendums.
