the order file is a lockfile for startup: pinned to the trace you profiled, quietly stale as code paths change. regenerate it per release, or the 2x decays with nothing failing.

Hit this with a build script last month. Tight, predictable startup paths captured most of the gain, but anything with dynamic requires at boot barely moved. Does the --bytecode-order profile account for that, or is the 2x mostly on linear startup paths?

In light of today’s Bybit incident, here’s how we secure our technical Safe.eth multisig at Gearbox Protocol: Continuous monitoring Whenever a new transaction is submitted or an existing one is signed, we immediately receive a notification in our alert channel. This alert shows the transaction hash and who proposed and signed the transaction. Detailed transaction report The most significant feature is the transaction report. It contains parsed transaction call data in a human-readable format, allowing all signers to see actions that occur understandably, both in plain text and in bytecode. Deployment check and whitelisted external calls Whenever the system deploys a new contract or interacts with an existing one, it checks the bytecode and compares it with code in our GitHub repository. Thus, the system constantly recompiles and compares the bytecode with the audited version, providing us with detailed information such as source links, audit reports, etc. This is how we have built a robust system to filter and check all transactions before they go to the technical multisig and affect changes to the protocol.

Ethereum security gets stronger when the ecosystem funds the infrastructure everyone depends on. We’re excited to announce a collaborative effort with the Ethereum Foundation on the End-to-End Formally Verified Vyper Compiler grant, now live in the ETHSecurity Initiatives Round. Vyper contracts are audited and verified at the source-code level, but Ethereum executes bytecode. Everything in between depends on the compiler preserving the meaning of what developers wrote. This grant funds work toward a machine-checked proof that Vyper compilation preserves source semantics, plus the infrastructure to re-verify supported releases. The goal is a public --verified compilation mode in the official Vyper compiler, with documented guarantees and real production adoption. The Ethereum Foundation has pledged $100K toward the initiative. Now we have a chance to bring the ecosystem together around one of the deepest layers of Ethereum security and help build a future where critical smart contract code can be verified all the way down to bytecode. I asked Claude Fable 5.1 for planning and Muse Spark 1.3 for execution to build a multiplexer superterminal using Rust, gpuix, and Bun and it actually pulled it off. - Native cross-platform: Mac, Windows, & Linux - Speed: Hits that legendary "half-bounce" startup time - Layouts: Split panels + horizontal/vertical tabs - Open Source: 100%
