Mo’Nique’s not wrong but people like Oprah & Tyler Perry will not publicly apologize because they don’t feel Mo’Nique is powerful enough to affect their business. Tyler currently is fighting accusations and he spoke out against that. This is how powerful public figures are able to remain prominent even when they’ve harmed so many people. Social media was just discussing Oprah’s recent comments on Michael Jackson at a public speaking event. When he was alive she defended him. Now that he’s gone she’s expressing her true thoughts because she knows he has no power now. But oh when their day comes people who were too afraid to speak will do Oprah and Tyler the same way.

I love Mo. She is right. Integrity is something that you have to give away. You have to consent to it being taken or traded. It belongs to you. She refused to give it away and that is sign of strong character. I'm sad that even Steve has sold his. Honor yourself by doing the right thing and being honest. I do think she was treated unfairly however she fucked up by letting her husband manage her. Prior to him, she was literally in a Pepsi commercial. He’s been sabotaging her career for years ruining relationships for her. he’s not a seasoned manager & doesn’t manage anyone else.

I love that she stood up for what she believed in and Steve should have admitted he was wrong.

So let me get this straight she did her contractual obligation for promotion for the movie. But they wanted to take it to Cannes and other high profile festivals and they weren’t going to pay her like the rest of the cast. What’s interesting is they most likely would’ve paid for her trips and Cannes especially holds weight in the industry and would’ve helped broaden her career. Instead, she told everybody to go suck her dick.

Hollywood don't wanna hear "no." She fumbled her own path. She has several paths but that one was blocked.
